Patch Notes 22/04/2020 - Gates of Ekrund

[Misc]

- Fixed an issue with how guard damage and absorption was calculated. Neither took damage multipliers into account, which meant that they could take less or more damage than intended from multipliers like Challenge, Divine Fury, Vengeance of Nagarythe etc.

[Weekend Warfront: Battle of Ekrund]

The ancient Gates of Ekrund guard the only mountain pass that is wide enough to accommodate an army. For the Dwarfs, recapturing these gates and sealing them shut is of vital importance in stemming the greenskins' tide of destruction. However the greenskins remain relentless in their attempts to break through.

This weekend the Gates of Ekrund will be the weekend warfront from 12:00 on Friday to 12:00 on Monday Altdorf time. You get +50% XP and Renown in this scenario, and extra rewards from completing the event tasks.

[Abilities]

- Attempt to fix an issue causing Shadow Warrior stance to drop randomly

- Edited some Level requirements on spec abilities tooltip from Ror made abilties . This caused some abilties to turn red even if they were accessible.

- Finished to fix all projectile speed on ranged abilities. They almost all had a longer flight time than intended.

- Fixed an issue causing Sov and warlord 8 pc abilities not being removed after unequip one of the set piece.

- Builded new Granted Item Ability for Sov , Alt Sov and Warlord. In addition of current 8 pc ability bonus, the following new abilities will be dispatched between the 3 royals set (one on each royal set):

Tank Archetype

• Desolation - Up to 3 nearby enemies within 10' immediately lose 1800 Morale
• Leading The Charge - Allies within 30' of you or your defensive target have their movement speed increased by 30% for 10s

Melee DPS Archetype

• Desolation - Up to 3 nearby enemies within 10' immediately lose 1800 Morale
• Inexorable Force - Your defensive target becomes immune to Stagger, Knockdown, Root and Knockback effects for 10 seconds.

Healers Archetype (magic)

• Absolute Preservation - You and your defensive target cannot be critically hit for 10 s.
• Unshackled Freedom - You and your defensive targets abilities cost no Action Points for 10 s.

Healer Archetype (Melee)

• Dispersion - For 10 seconds, your attacks will heal your allies within 30' for 200% of the damage done.
• Inexorable Force - Your defensive target becomes immune to Stagger, Knockdown, Root and Knockback effects for 10 seconds.

Ranged DPS Archetype

• Unshackled Freedom - You and your defensive targets abilities cost no Action Points for 10 s.
• Fettered Might - Your target will have their Action Point cost increased by 50% for 10s.

Current :
• IB : A disrupting strike that makes your opponent receive 50% less benefit from any heals cast on them for 10 s.
• SL : Your blood thirst is elevated by the thoughts of battle. You cannot be stopped by roots or snares for the next 10 sec.
• RP : A brief magical wind increases your chance to critically heal and hit by 10% for 10 seconds.
• EN : Target is rooted in place for 10 s.
• KN : The brilliant glare from your armor, perhaps a reflection of Mymidia herself, causes your opponent to stumble and reduce movement speed by 30% for 10 sec.
• WH : You knock your target back a long distance.
• WP : You instantly regain 120 Righteous Fury,
• BW : A surge of power increases the radius of all your spells by 50% for 10s.
• SM : You are an inspiration to yourself and others. Your defensive target will absorb up to 1387 over 10 seconds
• WL : You rage with the spirit of the beast, increasing your chance to critically hit by 10% for 10 s.
• SW : A sudden rage makes you want to take down your enemies even faster. All your build times are reduced by 1.5 sec for 10 sec.
• AM : You push your powers to their limits, extending their range by 20% for 10s.
• BO : You show the others how it's done... either by makin dem do it, or doin' it yourself. Your defensive target will absorb up to 1387 damage over 10 s.
• BZ : Your thoughts of the glorious battle ahead overtake you. You cannot be stopped by roots or snares for the next 10 sec.
• SH : Feeling the Waagh!!! Getting more intense you make an effort to push it further away from you, extending the range of your spells by 20% for 10s.
• SQ : It briefly dawns on you that shootin faster is better. All your build times are reduced by 1.5 sec for 10 sec until you forget.
• CH : A disrupting strike that makes your opponent receive 30% less benefit from any heals cast on them.
• MR : A spastic surge of raw power courses through you which increases your chance to critically hit by 10% for 10 sec.
• ZE : A brief magical wind increases your chance to critically hit and heal by 10% for 10 seconds
• MA : Target is rooted in place for 10 sec.
• BG : Your seething contempt is focused towards a single target. So unnerving is this sensation that your target's movement speed is reduced by 30% for 10 sec.
• DK : You instantly regain 120 Soul Essence.
• WE : You knock your target back a long distance.
• SO : A surge of power increases the radius of all your spells by 50% for 10 sec.
[Healers]

- Subtlety tactic affects hate caused from all sources, not just healing abilities.

[Chosen]

- Dire Shielding now applies to group members, not all allies. It was not intended to affect 24 players when the AOE cap was lifted.

[Warrior Priest]

These changes are mostly affecting the Grace mastery tree:

- Sigmar's Vision: Additionally now grants the player 10% block for 10s when wearing a shield. Is now available from lvl 16.
- Divine Warden: this ability has been merged into Sigmar's Vision and is now removed
- Shielding Grace: While channeled it will every second create a 1s duration absorb shield for 255 damage from ranged and magic sources.
- Sigmar's Radiance: The base healing part of this ability, which had a fixed value of 337/423 is now replaced with a base value which scales with 85% of the total ability damage before mitigation. Additionally, this ability is now available at lvl 20, when all other group heals become available.
- Grace of Sigmar: No longer increases the base healing value of Sigmar's Radiance. When wearing a shield Divine Strike will now hit up to two additional targets within 10ft of your target. The 25% increase to life taps is still part of the tactic.
- In Wrath tree, the 7pt tactic Fanaticism and 3pt tactic Divine Justice have switched places
- In Salvation tree, the 11pt tactic Cleansing Power and 7pt tactic Refreshing Radiance have switched places.

[Disciple of Khaine]

These changes are mostly affecting the Sacrifice mastery tree:

- Warding Strike: Additionally now grants the player 10% block for 10s when wearing a shield. Is now available from lvl 16.
- Blood Guard: this ability has been merged into Warding Strike and is now removed
- Soul Ward: While channeled it will every second create a 1s duration absorb shield for 255 damage from ranged and magic sources.
- Transfer Essence: The base healing part of this ability, which had a fixed value of 337/423 is now replaced with a base value which scales with 85% of the total ability damage before mitigation. Additionally, this ability is now available at lvl 20, when all other group heals become available.
- Empowered Transfer: No longer increases the base healing value of Transfer Essence. When wearing a shield Consume Essence will now hit up to two additional targets within 10ft of your target. The 25% increase to life taps is still part of the tactic.
- In Torture tree, the 7pt tactic Murderous Intent and 3pt tactic Bloodthirst have switched places
- In Dark Rites tree, the 11pt tactic Efficient Patching and 7pt tactic Restored Motivation have switched places.

The motivation for these changes are to improve some under-performing abilities in the specs and to make the group heal scale more with stats. Previously the difference in heal output between offensive gear or defensive gear was tiny, so it was generally always better to be as defensive as possible. Now there will be an incentive to the trade-off of going "glass cannon"; you will be squishier but your healing output will improve.

[Scenarios]

- Melee Squig Herders & Assault Shadow warriors now counts as MDPS for ranked solo and hero selection in cities.
- Flag in ranked can't be spam clicked anymore
- Capping flag in ranked will now also create a sound warning for the enemy team.
- Fixed a display bug with flag capture progress bars in scenarios
- When a click objective is captured, it will now more reliably abort the capture for others trying to capture it at same time
- The career trainers have been removed from the ranked solo scenario, but are still there in the group 6v6 version

[NPCs]

- Jorge is now patrolling around the Temple of Change in High Pass
- Gehaast is now patrolling in ORvR between High Pass and Talabecland

[Quests]

- Gathering Intelligence: You will now have to recover the Battle Plans
- Ugly Face: You will additionally have to kill some Shiftpaw Wolves for the first step. The last step is no longer repeatable
- Abomination: The whole quest line is now available and reworked

[General]

- Fixed an issue which caused some characters to be permenantly logged in after being disconnected (usually after a City Siege or a Scenario finished)

[Items]

Warlord
- Engi/Squig/SW now have 6% Dodge Strikethrough instead of AA speed as a set bonus
- Sham/AM This set is now geared to DPS, not healing
- GIABs added/updated

Sov/Alt Sov
- GIABs added/updated

Interesting changes to Grace/Sacrifice, will be interesting to test out.

One thing to note, though, with gear for these specs mainly being available from PvE pre-sov, shouldn't the specs be more useful there as well? However, currently the increased mitigation of heroes/lords makes these specs a lot less effective for PvE content. My memory might be failing me, but I don't remember heroes/lords having this much higher mitigation on live, as I was able to use Sacrifice to heal effectively in ToVL on live. It would be nice to get the hero/lord mitigation reduced (with appropriate increases in health to offset the damage increase of course) to help these specs in other types of content as well.

Plus, bigger numbers feel better.

I don't like the switch from the auto-attack bonus to dodge in engi.

I love Testing balance changes, ty!

Will the buffs of DoK/WP still proc when the hit is parried/blocked like it was with the block buff?

Will Divine Strike heal triple the amount with triple amount players hit?

Block buff SHOULD always go off regardless if it is parried or blocked. But the parry buff/debuff can be stopped.

And yes, your heal will heal for as many people as it hits. If it hits 3, it'll heal based on the damage it does to those 3.

Question for devs on 8/8 abilities for WH/WEs

8/8 offensive Sov: Enough (punt, class spefic)
8/8 defensive Sov: Inexorable Force (immunity) - also appyable to yourself or not?
8/8 Warlord: Morale drain

is this distribution right?

I like the new changes for am, but what about an AM that fulled warlord for heal spec maybe with full armor talis 180 and now the found a dps set ? No refund for him ? it's not right .
