Every post about beginner leveling and even youtube videos suggest doing pvp in the early game already. I am really new to the game and leveled my character to 6 and went straight up to the first battelfield I found on the first map. Despite spending some time there I didn't even come close to hurting someone. Is it because I made an Order character? I noticed that it was usually something like 4 vs 15 and we were just getting destryoed both times I tried to enter the battlefield.
So how does it make sense as a beginner to go there? I have no idea what I am supposed to do and I am not even doing any kind of damage.. I am pretty sure my class is a tank class but I am dead in like 2 seconds. I didn't even get any kind of renown exp there. I did however get a bit career exp for dying I think. Or idk maybe I just discovered something.
Why pvp as a complete beginner?

Re: Why pvp as a complete beginner?
I know that its a tank. What I meant there was that I still die in 2-3 hits. I know that I am low level, don't have the gear or stats to tank a lot but thats just another point why I shouldn't join pvp early on for me. I am just trying to understand how I should approach pvp since everyone apparently seems to agree on doing pvp early on.
Re: Why pvp as a complete beginner?
You need the RR as it is your most important skill and stats enhancing feature out there.
If the numbers are stacked against you, play some scenario's while doing rvr. Group up, join warbands!

Right now the T1 pop is heavily skewed to destro (65%) as well - so if your experience is from this morning, you might just have been unlucky.

Re: Why pvp as a complete beginner?
This game is a pvp focused game. The earlier you go and learn the mechanics, the better, as it will just get harder down the road. You also get renown rank, which is more important than your class levels, as it gives you skill points and access to gear.
I always level up till about 5 or 6 and then jump right in. You WILL be squishy for a level or two until you get the first pvp set, but it will go by pretty quick. Group up and play smart. Don't overextend yourself and watch the flow of battle. Tanks are very strong once you get a few pieces of gear and some renown points to reduce damage.
The pvp vendor merchants are in the warcamp and have all the gear you will need to level. Also consider a crafting profession, as you can make talismans to put in your gear or heal/buff potions. As a new player, you will not have the funds to just buy this stuff, so leveling them is a good idea if you can stand it.

Re: Why pvp as a complete beginner?
You can have fun and get gear from PQs in the early stages to around lvl 10 and then step in to the pvp with more abilitys. I guess that would make it a bit easier. (RvR).
If you enjoy PQs its nothing wrong doing them for a longer time.
Do PQs and que for scenarios pretty good way to level all the way.
PQs also have some decent sets in all tiers.
A good point is to keep the Level and RR close.

Re: Why pvp as a complete beginner?
If you do not enjoy PvP in general in this game, Warhammer Online is not for you since the focus is PvP heavy here. But as somebody who has multiple LVL40 chars on order and destro I can tell you, it has nothing to do with faction. You will have horrible and great moments on either side. So you should not judge the game based on the experience of a few days. What I would recommend to you is that you try to run with a group, a 3 man is enough in holy trinity and queue up scenarios. You will level reasonably fast, get renown rank up and also emblems for equipment. During SC downtimes go to the RvR lakes which is also a better experience when you group up. Take your time, find a class that you like, do not listen to the meta bullsh.. and have fun in this game.

Do you remember learning bicycle ?
you gotta fall, get up and keep paddling.
I think you fall because your gear and stat are lower than standard of your lvl.
same lvl green is very minimum.
maybe hide in number until u're rdy.
pick good players enemy or ally to watch and learn.
everyone had these steps.
