Long initial patching

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone else has had a dreadfully long initial patching. After; Id estimate 12 hours, ive downloaded vaguely 66 thousand of the initial patch files needed, At a rate of give or take 90 to 100 files a minute, and at this rate I calculated that I still have roughly another 12 hours of patching to go! I really just want pick the brains of others to see if maybe its a fault on my end, or if by all means it just a long initial patching! Thank you !

You've done something wrong in the installation.

You shouldn't be downloading anywhere near that amount of files. Did you use the torrent method and follow the guide in the giant red box above?
