Engi spec viability

Hey guys,

First class i ever tried on this game was engi. Stopped around lvl 20.
I came back with fresh eyes because i learned the game in the mean time.
Initially, and even know, i play a rifle spec. I like the idea of a sniper. I just wanted to know how viable it is because most engi's i see play the grenadier spec, spamming grenades and bombs and stuff. That seems fun as well, but i prefer my long shot lad.
I'm at lvl 30 right now, stacked with BS talis on everything, full rcrit renown, rvr set. Im going in the rifle mastery ofc towards the armor pen skill.

Any advice from other snipers around?

If you haven't already check the Dwarf Handbook. Get max BS and WS from Tactics and Renown. WS Talis in.

You are a glascannon. Don't get close. If you see black ravens on you hit m1 dodge everything for 7seconds to dodge the sorc rotation or you are dead in 2seconds. Same if you see purple krutt on you.

Best advise would be to join some Snipersquads. There I learned pretty much everything from Thorbolt back in the day.
