Nice idea, but that will not work.
people are like water. They go the easy way. Why have a hard fight? They want the gear, not the fight.
If u give them more loot for "premade" ... i think ... even pug would join premade-city :-D
Like it Hard (Drakenwald)
...PVP, nothing else...

I would suggest to give 0 crests and 0 bags to the losing side.

If you don't want to put effort to get the best gear in the game you should not get it.

No one is asking for free or easy gear.

Premades vs pugs is not effort nor fun, let organized play vs organized and pugs vs pugs and the better side will earn more rewards.

Make the pre-queue timer 15 mins, 10 minutes (just as it is now) where you make your warband and sort out comps. Then have a 5 min period where warbands enter the queue, during this 5 minutes noone gets a pop, but warband leaders can designate their warband as 'Premade' or 'Pug'. At the end of the 5 minutes, premade warbands are matched against premade warbands, pugs against pugs. If there are uneven numbers of premade warbands on each side when the timer ends, the leftovers get put in the pug queue. Sure, you might have some people 'dodging' fights and queuing as pugs, but it's a fair bet if they do this, they wouldn't have been a warband that was stomping people anyway. You would also get the odd leftover premade warband, that didn't have another premade warband to be matched against, and was therefore put back in the pug queue. Hopefully something like this would make the completely one sided instances a rarer occurrence though.

Thoughts?
And what if PREMADES will sign up as PUGS ?
As I said in the OP, sure some people will (like some of the people replying in this thread it seems). But if a premade warband is queuing with the pugs, then they're probably not a warband that is stomping people 300 - 0 in kills. This is just to make sure organised warbands that want a harder fight have a higher chance of getting one. I'm assuming you guys in TUP/Phalanx warbands have as little interest in farming terrible enemy comps as we do if you go to the effort of making a good setup.

I like the proposal. Maybe add as an incentive to join premade queue 1 crest extra for winning on each stage.

Let's go through some of the list.
On order I imagine warbands like the TUP/Phalanx warbands, THUNDERCATS, VII, Arthem/Sybella's warband, Zunig's warband. (Possibly some others I haven't mentioned)

On destro I imagine PnP, the main FMJ warband, the LoB alliance warband, some of the other stronger alliance warbands too would make use of it.

I feel pretty confident in saying that most, if not all of these groups would far rather take a loss but have a fight, than stomp their respective instances against pugs. So give them some way to match themselves against one another, while still keeping an element of rng in who you face. This would then mean the pug warbands who might have been facing them would be more likely to face another pug warband. This game should be about the fights, so it needs systems in place to try and promote the fights.

Something similar was suggested when cities first launched. My proposal was for the queue period to "rank" warbands on each side by some metric (previous wins of WB members, total or average RR of the warband, gear level, etc) and then match-make based on that criteria. Having a box that says "premade or pug" is just going to be abused.

edit: having now got a spot in a premade that smashes pugs regularly, the crests are nice but it's getting a bit boring.

I'm not sure extra rewards should be a thing, it should simply be a way for premade warbands to improve their chances of getting a competitive fight against another premade warband. Rewards shouldn't be a factor. At least imo

Sure it might be abused by some, but the end result would be no different to what occurs now, a premade warband fighting against pugs.
At the very least, this would remove most of the premade warbands that just want to have a decent fight from the pool and pair them against each other.

perhaps score system like ranked SC ?
how to calculate it, idk.
same guild +, 2-2-2 +, high ranks +,
high gears +, ranked sc score + etc

or

just let pug get stomped,
it's one of reason making ppl to organize.

I'm solo pug player and pug city was one of worst experiences, even by my low standard.
I think i had miserable 3 defeats until not queuing solo anymore.

now ppl start looking for premade to avoid ass kicking.
carrot didn't work, time for whips.

leftover dps and guild premade vs pug are something to look though.
