Class question

Hi there folks, new player here. Just a bit of background before my question; After playing total war warhammer I fell in love with warrior priests. I saw lazy peons video 4 days ago and thought id give them a go here. I am currently level 9 wp.

I want to know if 2 handed healing warrior priests are viable and if so how do I achieve viability? What are best set ups and such? What stats should I be looking for? If they arnt viable then how do I make them less bad? I really dont want to play the class without a 2 handed wep even it means gimping myself/sucking. I feel like sitting in the back line and just pressing heal buttons is not fulfilling the warrior priest fantasy. A true warrior priest of Sigmar SMITES his foes with the holy wrath of his hammer and blesses his allies with Sigmars light.

They (2h WPs) ain't warband (24 man) viable. They ain't even that good in 6v6 (compared to DoK). Not that bad for duo ganking with tank. Your main stat would be STR.

what enviroment and playtimes are you seeking?

It would be more of a thing if you did it in scenarios and you did it with a tank guarding you... a ironbreaker to armour debuff enemy, improve your crit chance, improve your parry etc

in large scale i wouldnt recommend... you have no gap closer, little escapism... you need to be in melee... slayer got charge immunity to snare, wl pounce and pull, wh stealth, and move speed stealth... you will get melted hard in eu primetime when big fighting takes place

if you played at NA times and it was off peak and more "roamy" maybe use state of realm and always hitting the under populated side zones looking for duels or smaller encounters... then maybe you have a chance if you put in alot of effort

DPS dok your mirror class is more of a thing... but i know you don't want no stinky elf

dps wp will require a ton of effort compared to others, you will be semi gimpy but good luck if you pursue this

But isnt going heal/dps different then pure dps on WP? I would be using the path of grace and not path of wrath. I got the feelin early on that large scale this will suck/cant work because id get murdered if i get in melee range so I plan on doin a lot of scenarios.

As much as I wish it were not the case, DPS WP is not viable in any way. It's why I stopped playing WP and switched to SM.
