Could someone provide me a good build including: tactics, what to buy with renown, mastery, morales, etc...
I want to be a disruptive, utility, group support, SnB tank. I dont care to use a 2H, just want to be a tank that helps my group in the best possible way.
Thank you !

Re: [KotBS] New Player Question
This is "basic" build or optimal for a fresh 40-40 with ruin/anni(+1 mastery point) gear:
RoR.builders - Knight of the Blazing Sun
If you already have a group suporrting you and do not feel survivability is a problem, try this build:
RoR.builders - Knight of the Blazing Sun
This is if you have something better than ruin/anni until 50+rr:
RoR.builders - Knight of the Blazing Sun
Switch gilded shield to coordination in pve.
At higner renown level you most probbaly run some variation of builds above with some extra points - like "jack of all trades":
RoR.builders - Knight of the Blazing Sun
Or
RoR.builders - Knight of the Blazing Sun
Personally i found out if you mostly solo or pugging(joining open wbs and stuff like that) while lacking any high level gear( i.e. running in conq, but already hit 70+ rr), than you can try this out:
RoR.builders - Knight of the Blazing Sun
Renown wise always try to have 0 chance to be crit(use .getstats command on your character), rest goes to block> parry/disrupt,dodge, you can toss something into hardy concession.
At 78 atm i run this:

Re: [KotBS] New Player Question
New player and new-ish to MMORPGs. Is there a comprehensive guide on how to play a tank KOTBS? Ive tried googling certain keywords but unfortunately no dice. Im Seeking a complete guide that would walk me down how to play a KOTBS from Lvl 1 to level cap. Skill rotations, what skills abilities to invest in , etc. Im aware im asking too much, just want to know if there are published resources such as this available?
I recently played a scenario where I and another KOTBS had extremely varying stats - I a lvl 10 finished with 7000 dmg dealt whilst a lvl 13 KOTBS wiped the floor had the highest kills and dealt around 35,000+ dmg. This motivated me into inquiring if guides were available as that could help me shed some light into whether im playing the class the wrong way.

- different auras active than you, some auras do damage, others boost survivability
- been using a huge 2h weapon

- had better gear with talismans slotted in each piece, this is very important to get your stats bolstered to the maximum (no talis = only medicore bolster)
- been hitting squishy targets as you were banging on other tanks

- had a healer friend so he never died?

Re: [KotBS] New Player Question
Hm, what i mostly did 2years ago while leveled my char is following:
1. Level up mostly from scs and some orvr.
2. When close to level 20, 30, 40 do epic quest for a nice gear. They usually pretty long so its not uncommon to get lvl or two during the completion, so you can start slightly earlier.
3. Always try to have up to date gear, altdorf war quarters or ic bottom of the map have gear vendors for all levels.
4. Renown wise as snb pump some block, watch your initiative too, don't let it go too low. Max block? Pump some in other defensives.
5. There is city dungeons for a keeper set available from completing at early levels, if i remember correctly 17 ish smth. Most people on order side spam "sewers" in lfg chat for it.
6. Check wiki page about gear sets and epic quests. ( Bis gear for snb knights usually locked in orvr, so you should be fine if you roam lakes alot)
7. You can use reduced xp scroll to stay longer at level 16, 30, 39. ( I can be wrong here, but basically at last level of your current tier untill you progress to next one) Usually at this point you feel pretty strong in best available gear, that is by far easier to get than bis at lvl 40.
8. Mastery wise just pump points in vigilance or conquest trees at first. I think atm you can respect mastery for free. Ap aura, slice through are good early levels, same as coordination.
Than when you have 10 mastery points you can switch to smashing counter+ dirty tricks combo or focused mending+ aoe stagger from glory tree.
Dont use aoe stagger off cooldown or for damage, its a good ability when used right or bad when used wrong.
Staggering bunch of healers at the back so they can heal dps that get focused by your team is a good way.
Overall just play the game, get Viny UI for some easy interface, focus on guard/guard swaps/asisting.
The better understanding will come with experience, knight is fairly easy class.
