Got a few newbie questions on best way to progress. I just started a couple of nights ago, seen order seemed to be the lower populated faction and i love tanks in this game so rolled a kotbs to get me started. I am having a blast right now but wanted to ask some questions. I did a few starter quest then went to the t1 rvr area at about lvl 6. Mostly been rvring since then, i did a few SCs last night. What is generally considered the best way to progress in lvl and renown while keeping my gear up to date? Does it change in T2 or T3 etc? Can i avoid pve or are there some times where pve gets you better stuff then pvp rewards?
TLDR- Is there a current road map on where and when to go to certain spots for best xp/renown/gear etc. Would really like to have a gameplan to make the best of the x2 xp weekend.

Re: New Player Progression Questions
As a new KotBS as well, I'd like to know too, is it better to RvR or PvE until level 40?
Re: New Player Progression Questions
You can avoid PvE completely. If you were really trying to get your level to 40 as fast as possible, PvE would be the best route, but that is not something I would advise because it would leave your renown rank too low.
RvR is going to level your exp the slowest but your RR will be leveled the fastest relative to your exp. PvE will increase your level the fastest but give you no renown. Scenarios are the most balanced and can be done in conjunction with either of the other 2 routes.
The best way to go is probably RvR while doing scenarios. Good for experience and renown and give you access to a couple of gear sets.
Even if you dont want to level through PvE there is some gear you might want to consider. There is a dungeon you can do at 16+ that gives a good gear set for its level. There are epic quest that can give you decent gear, each tier has them. And there are PQ sets for every tier as well.
Personally I like to get the keeper set from the dungeon and maybe an epic quest here or there. Having said all of that you can get everything you need from just doing RvR and Scenarios.

Re: New Player Progression Questions
Doing sc during x2 is most balanced way of leveling.
You level both RR and level at the same time, get emblems so you can buy t2/t3 sets and weapons to stay competitive. Pro-tip, get a group of 6 going and sc pops faster (also assuming you have some organization, winning = more exp/rr than losing)
At 31 you can grind hard PQ for ruin set, at 35 you can try getting a group for beastlord set in preparation for 40. There's threads on gear progression and a wiki page somewhere with all the set (except more recent ones)
