Slow Torrent Download?

I really want to start playing this game, but why is the torrent so slow? It's downloading at 1 kb/s right now. My internet is 25 mb/s down 6 up. I just downloaded TSW at 4 mb/s why is this taking so long? should I download the direct links instead?

The first thing to do is google what torrent is.
You get only the speed that other people gives you. If nobody seed you cant complete the download.
So the DD would be preffered.

Seeding on a 500Mbit connection, but only 5 peers connecting that use a whopping 450kB/s combined atm. Probably a transatlantic peering issue.

I understand how torrents work, I frequently visit a certain Bay for Pirates. With that being said, I'm currently downloading the firect files off MegaShare. Hopefully The rest works out.

Thanks for the affirmation. I used a direct download link that worked a lot better in 5 parts. I'm just having problems getting it all to come together and work. I haven't played on a private server since Ragnarok 10 years ago or so.
