A great example of something that should have been a vote, and save everyone the time to read it.
I agree, facebook does not have to balnce a game based on votes. But neither do we. We still have all the comments, forming an intelectual discussion. But we also get the combined opinion of everyone else. There are like 10 people actively posting/ commenting here. And the bottom line says: "In total there are 105 users online :: 20 registered, 0 hidden and 85 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)". There are a lot of people not commenting, that might vote. (Ever heard of the 1% rule?)
I'm not sure what you mean by the second part, could you explain?
That's actually a nice argument.
We have many different languages, and services that can help you translate what you want to say. But wouldn't it be even better to express your opinion in just one click? It's just an option. If you have something to say you can still post it, you can still argue like we do, but if you just like/ dislike an idea you could vote instead. Everywhere, even in this thread there are comments I could live without. Just like the first one I quoted here. It has no merit for this discussion, unlike your post, that was worth reading and replying to.
I dislike to siff through useless comments to get to the few actual arguments. This would at least improve this situation, by giving those with nothing to say a way to express their opinion without annoying everyone else.
