Choppy, Unplayable.

Hello,

I just downloaded RoR, got into the game...
only to be dissapointed because i can't possibly play.

There are two reasons.

One is technical.
The game is at 20-30 FPS, but whenever i try to move the camera or walk around it drops to a frame-by-frame bad performance.
If i turn my camera left and right (slowly), i will get a single-frame glance from the left side, and same for the right.
It does not matter if i have the graphics at minimum or at maximum settings. Same thing.
There is also a massive horizontal tearing often happening in the middle of my screen.

I dont understand how this can be, since i've been playing games such as
WoW, GW2, ESO, SWTOR, NWO, all on v.high/max settings, with 60-99 FPS.
(i usually just have ability effects on minimum cause it annoys me)

Windows and drivers are up to date.
Temperatures are stable at 32-52c for both CPU and GPU.
I run RoR as 64bit, and i installed DirectX9c.

(Specs: MSI H170 GAMING M3, i7 6700, R9 390 Sapphire, 16BG 1063MHz 13-15-15-28, DELL U2311H, Windows 10 Home 64bit, Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB)

The second issue is also kinda technical, but unless there is an addon for it, there's not much that can be done. (right?)
There is no mouse/camera sensitivity setting. By default it is extremelly high.
Now if i lower the DPI from outside the game, it slows down the camera look,
but the ingame cursor also gets slowed down to a crawl, making it impossible to drag it across the screen to click on things.

I am certain that this was not an issue when we were playing WAR back in 2008. What happened?

Thanks for your time.
Hoping for some help.

things that cause me lag, when client is running 32 bit - check the top corner of the launcher to change this, you may need to set the folder to not read only
game has been running for awhile
alt tabbing.
solution to those for me is actually a pc restart

I felt the same way coming back a week ago. The game was so choppy it felt unplayable.

I did three things

1. In launcher set to 64 bit

2. Lower/disable shadows

These helped quite a bit, but the last pushed it over the top:

3. Downloaded vinylui which disables much of the base UI.

This made it run smooth as glass. No tearing or choppiness when I rotate camera
