I'm not saying that the only way to get a COSMETIC mount should be to kill 10k mob, i'm saying that the ToK unlock are useless as they are now* and so this is a good opportunity to make them worth the time spent obtaining them. Some tome unlock can be obtained in 15 minute!
Moreover since almost everything can be obtained via RvR i don't see why you should add more things obtainable only via RvR.
Since RvR/SC is the main part of this game then It should give you only the important things and not ALL the things since this game have different aspect.

*ToK unlock are even more useless since ToK tactic aren't in game, and even they were in game they still useless.

I don't want faster mounts. I just want better looking ones. There's an armored pig mount that would go perfectly with my Black Orc color scheme.

I dont think they should come from RvR. Why reward even more something people already do?

Because it's the main selling point of this game?

Besides that, it's not about rewarding people to do something they already do, it's about giving everyone the chance to get what they want doing what they like.

guys if is cosmetic it's not an important thing to win in the game therfore it can go into pve with no prob, tough if the renown levels are ther to stay till 255 i think some incentive should be there.

-like at 255 renown manti and grifffon (which you can only aquire as reward for exploit reporting)

-at 175 renown probably a special mount

RvR is the bigger selling point of the game isn't an argument, this game can have many selling point, so why limit it at one?
Since RvR is the main part of the game it should give most useful resources, sure. but because this game have many aspect it would be a waste to ignore everything exept RvR, conversely you should try to improve every aspect of the game to make it more desirable.
@tesq i agree with that you should be rewarded for getting you toon over rr80, an idea could be to let you take some apperance from other classes of your race, obviously without making yourself unrecognizable; if you are a mara you should always look like a mara, but maybe you want to have some cool chosen boot

I'd say the amount of resources put into each part of the game and the dev's posts confirm what i've said are the key parts of the game. RvR is the main focus while scenarios and dungeons/pve are considered side activities. (Btw, i've always been against RvR being the main focus and i know i have, sometimes, been a pain in the ass on the forums regarding that.)

Also, i don't think you understood what i wrote, at all. I'm not saying ALL the armored mounts should come from RvR, but we have many recolors for each race which means every aspect of this game can be a way of getting an armored mount.
