A gold reset is useless if the exploit is still there. It will advantage exploiters cause they can exploit again, and those who are not exploiting will lose all the gold they had.

No one wrote that they will cut down the gold before they have a fix.

People take this generally way too personal. This is not a punishment for some rich people, it's a fix to the general healthiness of the game. Nothing more or less.

I think, it will be good for all comunity, when RoR comes to beta phase (will blocked all known exploites) reset all accounts. I mean reset gold, exp, renown. All players will be at first level. its still will be about WAR, not about pve, or farming ...

As far as i understand it, this is no alpha test. It's the server in an alpha (buggy/incomplete) state. The devs said in the past, that they want to avoid a full reset (except when there happens game breaking stuff they can't fix without a reset).

When you tell people that this is just a public test server, the population will probably go down drastically.
The problem is, that you need as many people as possible to test stuff/find bugs/annoy devs etc. pp.
Without a high population some bugs maybe would never be recognised until "the release".
I can imagine that particularly economy exploits are hard to detect on a small population.
Or i'm wrong and there is an automatic alert, when a player hits the jackpot

-All forms of trade should be removed.

Best solution. Dupers and exploiters are nullified. And if you cry about 'how we supposed to get the gear to the classes who need it' then farm/raid in party and do your need greed rolls properly. Best way to even out the huge gap. Only problem left will be those who have already kitted out their toons in max gear bought with exploited gold.

or simply remove all gold from the game?
