Newbie/ Lurker wondering about Skaven?

Howdy! Newbie here and I've been lurking on the forums here and there. I just learned that when the live servers were up, the Skaven were apparently playable, but by the time I -discovered- WH:AoR, the servers had completely shut down.
I don't suppose we have any word on whether they're coming to Return of Reckoning, and if so, when?

exactly. skaven are not implemented here as playable race. and so far in dev/news forum no words about skaven so i guess they will never be here.

Also Skaven were on live a temporary playable class.
Meaning you could switch on your character into one of the skaven classes and be an Assassin, Engineer, Ratogre for some time. I don't remember how long though. 60 minutes I think. But as mentioned on other threads there are not plans atm to bring them back in as it would take a lot of code reengineering and they are currently bound to bring back, fortresses, more dungeons and such.

And there were recent discoveries to implement back lost features of the quests and how to get values on the npcs.
