Is the EXP gain quicker than in the original game?

Hi all! I just discovered Return of Reckoning is a thing
One question. I cannot help to think I level up quicker than in the original game. Am I correct?

Speed is almost the same. Only quests give more exp.

Sort of the same. The devs have removed several avenues by which you could grind out levels faster. So technically the same but slower in practice if you are just trying to level as fast as possible.

I suppose initially it is easier to out level quest and mobs in your area. I hope in the future we will see MMOs with adoptive difficulty level so you can always face a challenge whatever your level and the area you are exploring.

Leveling should be much faster on a private server like this. It's going to be a barrier for a number of potential players.

Judging by some screenshots I have of scenario scoreboards from back in the day on Volkmar, I get way more XP in scens now, despite the overall number of kills being much lower.

I guess it goes both ways.

RoR you do get more XP from quests as mentioned before, but you wont get to 40 in less then a week (40 to 60 hours).

On live we had Power Level in LOTD, wich would take you around 10 to 12 hours in a very, very, very boring way.
