Class Mirror Discussion
Class Mirror Discussion
I wanted to create a thread about the differences between mirrors in the late game. The strengths/weaknesses of the mirrors and what to expect from each at t4. I believe it is easy to grasp a general idea of classes but difficult to discern the effectiveness of mirrors using a certain play style in the late game. For instance, to my knowledge, the 2h BO does more burst damage than the SM, but the SM does spirit damage to be more effective against tankier targets, and also has better 2h parry/bubbles/mobility. Likewise, the marauder has great sustained damage/debuffs/survivability for a mdps, but the white lion can basically two shot squishies when they pounce. Just wanted to get a discussion like this going!

Re: Class Mirror Discussion
its more complicated, some abilities are mirrored between realms, not between "mirrors"

Re: Class Mirror Discussion
I understand that, but I was referring more to the differences in mirrors. What can you expect out of each at t4. I know im not the only one with this question I see something related every time I play in advice chat. I for one would like to know more of the strengths/weaknesses of the WE and WH. I know WH gets ranged finishers and a healing debuff, while WE gets a big crit chance increase, but I think it would be beneficial to get an in depth look at each mirror from experienced players. It takes a good while to level and gear up and I believe it would be beneficial to new players to know the differences in mirrors.

Re: Class Mirror Discussion
2h Ironbreaker gets an aoe snare, 25% parry/50ish ini buff shared with oath friend, 900ish armor buff shared with oathfriend, 650ish absorb that works only against magic damage, 10%crit shared with oathfriend, and a 50% outgoing heal debuff (assuming standard trispec).
2h blackguard gets wounds debuff, 10% crit aoe cleave, 10% parry/block strikethrough aoe, a strong channeled attack that builds resources, wall of darting steel mirror, a 700ish absorb that affects ...hatefriend(?) against all damage, and either big toughness boost from Terrifying Foe, or spammable outgoing hd (requires high rr, or foregoing Malice goodies). Oh, and a mighty superpunt at 100 hate.
I think the two mirrors are fairly equal, maybe give the edge to BG with all the reworks he has been given. Reliable kd, easy hate building with Enraged Beating, two strong aoe debuffs (crit is best, but Furious Howl is not awful) and WoDS mirror (mighty) really make it a strong 2h tank, able to do decent assist damage while remaining very tanky.
IB is very good as well, and its trispec has tremendous utility. More vulnerable to rdps than BG though with no WoDS, which can suck in orvr when roaming or in scs where one button macro sorcs all congregate on occasion. Dunno which does more damage. Nerf to melee dot damage calculations might mean BG do more.

Re: Class Mirror Discussion
SM used to be able to have three bubbles but not any more, the only bubble you have are PoH and Vaul Buffer, and you have to spec for them .Phantom Blade used to have bubble, now it's changed to wounds buffTanski wrote: Wed Jan 30, 2019 1:47 am I wanted to create a thread about the differences between mirrors in the late game. WH = NHL while WE = Speed Skating or WE = Figure Skating
When you open out of stealth
WE/Speed Skating (AWAWAWAWAW) > WH/NHL > WE/Figure Skating
WH strenghts vs WE strenghts
Repel Blasphemy
Atonement + Absolution
Burn Away Lies
WE/Speed Skating strenghts vs WH strenghts
When the stars align and in BiS full crit gear -> AWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAW till death
WE/Figure Skating strenghts vs WH strenghts
Fun and diversity but you lose a freaking amount of dps

Re: Class Mirror Discussion
You forgot to use finishers on WE. Btw, a newbie will understand nothing of all you wrote there.Nidwin wrote: Thu Jan 31, 2019 7:12 am WH = NHL while WE = Speed Skating or WE = Figure Skating

Re: Class Mirror Discussion
As a Figure Skating specced WE (Nidwincc) I never forget to use my finishers Sulorie. But if homo sapiens sapiens already has issues understanding the above, imagine if I've to add a "use finishers as expected by Torq on your WE" paragraph.
But make my day Sulorie.
I take care of my Wilful Tinglers and I'll leave everyone else to your personal care. Have fun.
