Maybe use the old Flashfire tactic proc: next spell with casttime will be instant.
Or use the old crown of fire tactic (I think it was this tactic on live) proc: on being hit x% chance to stun the attacker for 1sec.
There was a collection about possible procs on sets for different classes. maybe look there?

I'm afraid sorc does not have the same tactics as BW.

Doesn´t matter. Just some ideas for 4piece vanq taken from old BW tactics. It would also work for sorc.
In contrary to you, I don´t think that the actual proc (0 AP for next spell) is useless. Sorc/BW are balanced around high combustion and garbage without it. So you should try to avoid to use the AP gain skill, if possible. But the 4 piece vanq proc is underwhelming in comparison to other 4 piece procs (for healers for example), so I would also prefer another proc.

The more horizontal approach in balancing the new sets is quite nice. It reduces the power creep and helps players with less time to play
(But please look also at the new talismans for sentinel rings in this case)

I opted for full Rare Fortune set on my Sorceress and I'm happy.

I thought so but couldn’t remember if the crit you lose was worth it.

With the loss of 2% crit on vanq helmet I put the gutslime aside and use the 45rr sc staff again. (gutslime has the best dmg among all staffs but man we need crits!)
