My findings so far

Thanks to a lot of good advice from the people on these forums I have been able to get my WE and Sorc to a playable space since creating a gear gap for myself by failing to level their RR.
They are both CR38 RR31, and if you are new here, the inconvenience is significant if you allow that gap to happen.
At this point though it wouldn't be inappropriate if I reach CR40 asap as there is no meaningful gear upgrade until RR 35.
Once you have the currency.
It's hard to play solo right now, and the sorc is nearly impossible to play without a group.
I can handle level 37ish mobs pretty handily though.
The WE is less problematic, and I can easily solo with her as long as I am mindful of her relative squishiness.
I don't think the sorc will ever be able to do solo rvr, and I don't know if I have the wherewithall to solo rvr on the WE even with gear.
I have several T3 and T2 toons that are hardier and might contribute more to rvr bands.
My 29 squiggy is in a pretty good place with CR/RR and so is my 20 BG and 22 Zealot.
Not to mention the 29/26 Choppa.
But ultimately I feel invested and even obligated to work on the 38's, which is a mentality I probably brought from WOW.
I'm also 57 years old and I'm weird like that.

You are in devastator and duelist, you need to go and do t4 PQs for Ruin gear, then you can do gunbad (dungeon) for dungeon set and then you can do the city dungeons for Sentinel (dungeon) which will put you at the top of your game without rr.

First port of call, go do t4 pqs for Ruin, you can do the lower level easy ones and just stack up currency and buy them.

Note, you can start t4 pqs around lvl 28 and start saving up for the Ruin set ready for when you hit 36 when you can put full set on.

Thanks man, I don't have a lot of experience with this game so every little bit helps.
Every new piece of information leads to at least one more option, and this is the most fun I've had in PVP since I left WOW and SWTOR for Eve online.

you should be able to solo some of the easy low ones in t4
