Grace/Sacrifice needed help. It got it. Fortunately, class balance isn't zero-sum. Grace/Sacrifice getting QoL buffs doesn't diminish the efficacy of Ironbreakers. If devs feel IB/BGs need help I am sure they will provide it, but until that happens any further discussion about it is way off-topic to this patch feedback thread.

Don't know about you, but I find oppressor and sentinel quite nice. Vanq not so much compared to conq. If you get a set in pve, why would it mean it's a pve only set? You get conq in pvp, does it mean you shouldn't be able to use it in pve? If you don't want to do pve, you won't get the set, same as redeye. Sentinel is for 2h offensive tanks mostly. The 5th bonus proc together with subjugator 2h proc can be a deadly combination.

I don't understand all the fuss about pve sets. Why complain if you don't even want to do pve. It's a good change of pace compared to rvr/pvp, a little bit less stressful and you can get good gear at the same time, or farm mats. And saying that pve gear is "a must have for everyone now" is far from being true. No wb tank ever wants to use sentinel gear over conq. There are more and more sets, which means everyone will have something they can use, depending on their playstyle. Even if you hate pve so much for some reason, you have sc gear and rvr gear. So I don't understand why you would get so upset.

May i ask what the thinking is behind this, is it a consequence of changing the toughness formula from how it was on live ? maybe just change it back to how it was initially and correctly done on ROR mirroring live because even blackguards with 1400+toughness never took 1 damage on live so clearly something (after you changed the toughness formula) has gone wrong.
Anyone care to comment ? possibly share some of the ss of the hits for 1 damage or even just tell us how much toughness was needed to allow hits of 1 damage ? because if 2 crossguarding def tanks with distracting bellow on enemies and immaculate defense up take hits greater then 1 damage this appears to either be a fake report or a bug/problem after you changed the toughness formula from how it was initially and correctly coded.

the issue is people need to put in some work to acquire such gear, and dev's gave out gear like candy in rvr to appease the masses with contribution change in the past and promoted passive gameplay... but the fairweathers only get satisfied in the short term and become loot hungry again... and blame dev's for not giving them everything on a plate, they bite the hand that feeds and don't realise what you said (modern day want everything instantly society problem)... that conq or above for any class is pretty good for teamplay. Fair weathers focus on gear more than actual fights, and QQ to dev's about balance if they meet something more organised, or can't obtain something within one week. Also people like to always complain and dev's are the easiest target there is as they are public figures (destro bias! order bias!) naturally i don't agree with all their decisions but if you take a moment and look at the bigger picture objectively you can see what they are trying to achieve with progression system in each game mode and give people more choices... the more choice you have the better as a player.

But no matter what you do it will never be enough for some :lol:

Now i can understand some of the frustration with bugs in pve, and server reboots... but these things happen from time to time and bugs should be reported, I still got 5 warded characters recently (4 destro, 1 order) and wrote guild guide for gunbad/enclave/burrows which took alot of time and effort... so for people who only play one class its pretty easy to get 3/3 gunbad runs done (especially since its been nerfed alot) do able in less than 10 hours in under 2 weeks. (or less time if gear RNG is on your side)

People who complain about pve, should just form or join a guild and set days and times to do pve together (be semi organised)... if you take pug life you will get RNG as always, sometimes good sometimes bad, but guild will always be the same and not waste more time LFG than actually doing what you want. People just need to train a little for pve, know class mechanics/boss mechanics... positioning and kiting, morale co-ordination... agro management, detaunts (pots if needed) basic 6 man / pve stuff and also most importantly group synergy, there are many different combinations just need to play to strengths (I.e ST assist, instead of aoe in pve) and taking useful debuffs.
