Warhammer age of reckoning stopped working

Hi there,

I recently downloaded the game through the RoR installer (not the torrent file), installed Direct X as required, then unchecked "Read-Only" (though it automatically re-checks everytime).

When I launched the game the first time, it worked normally. I created two characters, began playing with one and then things got tricky: the game crashed during the beginning cinematic. So I launched the game again, clicked "Play" with the first character. No cinematic. I'm in game. Started playing then boom, another "Warhammer blahblahblah stopped working".
Same thing with the second character. So I tried deleting the first character, same thing: after a few seconds ingame, the game crashes.

Is there an issue with the way I installed the game? Something else?

When you restart your pc and the ror.launcher anew will it download files?

Nope :/

Anyway, I uninstalled RoR, I'm currently re-downloading it via torrent
