If that is the case, then it begs the question: why argue against the implementation of something so trivial that would be received happily by a significant amount of the playerbase, if it doesn't affect you in the slightest? Odd, really.

Not all duelists are epeen warriors, just as not all pvp guilds are zergers, or 6-man elitists that only run BW/KOTBS/WP/SL combinations. Believe it or not, some duelists do it because they enjoy dueling!

There are many many games that heavily cater to duelling. War is uniquely a large scale collision based open rvr game balanced around groups of 6 and up. Bring duelling into that and you will have a game mode for a select pool of classes. It will not be long before they start asking for balance in their new game. Its just not part of this mmo just as swtor has no open rvr its not designed for it.

I can see an argument for factionless 6v6 tournament arenas which would be the war equivalent to duelling in other smallscale mmos. Thats what the pros should be wishing for. This would also really help balancing.

No dueling, please. Wasn't necessary then, isn't necessary now. WAR is not a game that supports dueling, never was.

People here who hate duels are so close minded person...I've got the "go play WoW" argument over and over again...They don't understand that WoW is not the only MMO with duels option(in fact, most MMOs have this option)

And nobody will claim balance because their class isn't the strongest in 1vs1(i don't know where they've got this ideea)...of course some people will troll, but they are very few,and anyway, trolls gonna troll(if there is no 1vs1,they find something else to troll about)

If you don't like duels, fine, don't do 1vs1...but let us enjoy both aspect of the game:RvR and duels, because after all,WAR was supposed to be a pvp game, and duels are an important part

^ Well said.

I really fail to understand why people are against such a trivial thing. Of course, I'm talking about after RoR is 100% finished; the implementation of a dueling system would not be a priority.

Why even talk about it, if it's that far into the future then? It's gonna takes YEARS for the developers to get the game to T4, let alone get T4 properly working.

For the same reason you proposed having class forums, even though we'll only be in T1 for the foreseeable future! Just food for thought.

A smartarse? Kewl! :3

But since you believe I was wrong to want that, why are you crying for duels now? Hypocritical much?
