Low level scenarios should give 300% more xp and/or renown. Quests should give a flat 100/200% more xp regardless of what zone you are in (getting more xp in your species zones just promotes individual/solo approach).

Don't forget those lowranks, who don't want to rank up even faster than currently. :p

Even -xp scroll won't be enough at some point, to prevent to fast levelling. The result is less and less sc done before leaving a certain level bracket.

It's not really the rewards for sc, which should be increased, but the frequency of pops - easy to say, I know. As long as people keep doing rvr, instead of queuing, nothing will change.
Dying is no option.

Just a random shower thought idea, but how about after each won scenario form level 1-39 you get a full level of rested exp from completing the assigned win sc quest inside the SC. not only would this help speed up leveling, but also make people queue while leveling hopefully.

Pops are the issue. They should just increase the scenario renown. PvE should have increased experience, if you are using a scroll you shouldn't PvE.

The PvE experience increases are nice, but it's annoying when a quest is an item collection that requires you to kill NPCs. Its essentially a kill quest without the extra exp for killing. I am not sure there is a fix, but it's a flaw in the system.

Leveling isnt bad, would be nice if the population was larger in mid tier, but that's not an easy fix.

Re: Your ideas to add value into leveling

I just recently came back when the 2xp bonus was activated. A couple things that I noticed with my little play time that could maybe help a little.

For PvE, for me, it's the downtime on getting out of combat after a PvE kill. I leveled up a Warrior priest during the event from 1-40, it was so nice to be able to just bounce around mobs non-stop. Then I tried another class (non-healer) and it was kill a few mobs, wait 20 seconds, kill a few mobs wait 20 seconds. That seems to work great in RvR, but I feel like it could be shortened for PvE. I doubt it's a easy fix, maybe unflagged from RvR increases out of combat rate by 50% or something.

For RvR, atleast in T0-T1 the BO's xp is all over the place, Nordland BO's give 200+ xp a tic, while the others you are lucky if you are getting 20xp a tic. It stinks to cap a zone and only get 10% of xp for the time involved in capping a zone.

All I can say is, I was having a extremely hard time logging off during the 2x xp, but not so much now.

Would be nice just to do random xp events(weekends, A dev's Birthday, TGIF, etc..) sense it's been a common complaint for years. The population was also booming during the xp event, it was a great success.

Edit: Typos

When you made only 10%xp, then you sit on flags. You are not supposed to level up this way. Nordland boat xp ticks are an outlier, I don't know why it can't get fixed.
With active fighting without being in a warband, you cam make at least a rank per zone.
If you have multiple chars, don't play t1, when opposing side has huge aao bonus, you will sit on flags most of your time.
Dying is no option.

Do you guys remember at the beginning when only T1 was working on this server and then later when T2 / T3 opened up and the renown rank was set to 20ish or 30ish? (well it was low anyway) the time when lvl was everything and RR was secondary?

Hands up if you still have characters left from that time which have higher levels than RR, I do for sure, so I'll raise mine.

With that opening, I feel ya Mystry, but the suggestion that PvE / PQ should grant RR, is something that will benefit only a few and make the game experience less for the majority of the players here, this game is first and foremost about the PvP, this is a fact that wont change even if or when The lands of the dead is launched or if all dungeons everywhere are fixed.

RR granted when you PvE, will take people from the lakes to PvE - more so than the regular Ruin gear farming already does.

My suggestion if it is doable is instead a PvE Jewelry-set that would grant equivalent up to lvl 40 rr only, with a required lvl of 35 to start with the 1st etc, just as other RR sets do with gear and once you have them all, your character at 40/13 is 40/40 until your RR gets past it.

Edited: was in a hurry yesterday, and wrote gear but meant jewelry...

A few ideas to entertain this idea.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

RENOWN DAILY QUESTS:

- Allow a % per day renown gain from quests (daily quests?)/monster kills.
This might incentivize people to grind mobs or quest, which in turn would generate more items on the auction house, crafting mats, pots, etc.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

RENOWN - XP MATCH:

-While players are under level 30 allow their renown level to match their character level. Level 15 hits level 16, their renown matches. Once the player hits 30/35 stop this effect.
Now at the very worst a PVE player would be level 40 with 30/35 RR.

Edit: Allow players to turn on or off the XP-Renown match. This option could add a "tax" to xp and make your leveling 10%-15% slower but offer renown xp. Idk.

Actually all my toons are getting leveled the same way:
1) grind/leech rr22 in t1 until lvl16 so you can get all lvl30 pvp gear from vendor
2) repeating killquests in pve with more than 10 mobs over and over again (abandon, retake, abandon, retake, ...)
3) get lvl32 and get **** in RvR, get frustrated in pve (missing quests, ruin grind, missing flymasters in pve camps)
4) abandon char at ~lvl35, lvl next toon

Actually its quite easy to get to lvl32+ but the way from 32 to 40 either via pve or pvp is a simple plain frustration.

One could say it's an important part of character development: getting better, feeling more impactful in rvr but i think the gap is too big when you hit lvl32.

Also: my personal experience is that bolstering to lvl48 only has a real impact on special classes like we/wh who take their fights like they want or tanks cause they get insta max defence while able to stack a useable amount of mitigation. With every other character the lvl48 bolster felt pretty useless. Also it seems that toughness doesnt get bolstered (?).
