I am lvl.16.. and now?

Being low renown rank as an mdps when you reach lvl 40 is not a fun place to be. I would say use boster to get rr as close to 40 as possible before farming pve to get to 40. I leveled to 40 with my Slayer and had low rr and I am running around in ruin gear w/o bolster= a bad time.

My advice is try to accumulate enough rvr currency to be able to skip ruin gear and go for anni/merc and Orvr jewels as soon as you can. This will also allow you to get Beast Lord faster.
Bolster with 20+ rr is better than no bolster and less than 40 rr.

Bolster means your stats are brought to values as if you were lvl 48. But only your stats. You dont get any new skills from it. And beastlord is a special set you gain through a combination of rvr and pve quest. You need to kill 30 Players and kill a tough boss.

Don't let your rank significantly surpass your renown rank. I have several r40 characters in rr20-30 range and I feel like deleting them to start all over again.

There's always some pve gear to choose from but you can't back yourself up with renown passives which is a must. Basically you just have to wait it out till you reach 40/40 at least. I don't really see many options to enjoy the game properly in 16-39 range.

Obviously I don't have any math to back things up but to me it appears that there should be T1 in 1-15 range, T2/3 in 15-39 range (with separate scenario AND orvr) and T4 for 40.

Nah, no need to split the player pool even further. The way how you play is already the limiting factor as lowlvl, not the rank.

As a mara the orvr sets are the most likely sets for you anyway in my oppinion. look always for new gear you can use.... there are a lot of options which dont require a renown rank.

Does it include t2 or the exp bonus begin from t3? So in my case is the bonus just for chaos zones? thanks

Just run with the zerg till you hit RR 41 min and then level till 32. Once you hit 32 alternate the pug sc and pve leveling. It does get better at rank 28 and 29 since dev gear plus bolster does give you some impressive stats, but the bolster falls off a cliff after 32.

To clarify, Beast Lord is as PvE set that is generally offensive and has some amazing set bonuses for melee classes imo. The armor also has some resists on it which ain't bad either. Additionally, there is a cloak with a talisman slot, which is very helpful as well. The bosses are tough and should only be attempted once you are rr 40 and have anni/merc gear. Hence why I advise that you have those two things before you hit rank 40 so that once you do, you can get Beast Lord and really beef up your offensive stats.

Do not level with pve. Without rvr gear and renown points you'll be even more useless. Follow the zerg if on des. Try and get some renown at keep defence if order.

I would run 32 fastest way.
pve+SC.
and start rr farm with 3tactics, enough skills in t4 sc/orvr.
can't say which one is best.
both have pros and cons.
