Site and Client (Forgotten Password)

I have gone through the forgotten password process and I've received my email and gotten my new password and activated it.

Does this change both my forum and client password or just my forum?

If the answer is just my forum (site) password, how would I go about getting my client password reset?

Finally, how long does it take to register my new password on the client side of things or is it instant?

When you change your pass on forum, it changes it on launcher too (same account for both).

Even though my username on the client is different to my login name on this?
