Figuring out, what customers, or in this case, players want. It's a talent, and not many people have it. People who think that it is a great idea, to introduce warband sized pve content into RoR, with abysmal drop rates on top, would create one flop after another in the real world, should they ever be in a creative/executive position.
Too much salt. Dial it back a couple teaspoons.

It already existed in colossus, a large scale but very simple and well telegraphed encounter.
Khorlar, Thorvold, Sjohgar, Anareth, Toldavf, Hartwin, Gotrin and others -_-

If you guys want to run it... Then go ahead get peeps together. Personally, pve isnt my cup of tea. The ch 22 pq isnt designed to be easy, wasnt it for hardcore peeps?

I don't think it has anything to do with difficulty, you can learn how the encounters work after a bit. I think the reasons people don't do them are these

The loot for an entire wb (+ randoms that may try to leech a bag) is scarce. 4-5 bags for an entire WB+ will scare most people away from even trying and that is not counting that even if you manage to win more than 1 gold bag you can find a duplicate item, or find a Ruin inside purple... Personal loot would solve this issue, there is a reason most MMOs have moved away from pure rng into a more stable system like Personal.

For most, the BIS is Conqueror / Dominator so they have no point in trying. There isn't much to do about this, unless new shinies are added.

Getting Conqueror / Dominator feels rewarding all the way, from start to finish. You're working toward your goal and you can feel that you're making progress and not wasting your time trying to win the lottery. Slowly but surely > praying to Rnjesus (if you even manage to find a group AND complete the PQ). A token system like Ruin would be better imo, that way you can see the carrot at the end of the stick.

Most players are here to PvP and not PvE. There's no solution to this, other than getting more people to play.
They done stole my character's names. Can't have **** in RoR.

The game was released with WB sized PvE content. It wasn't independent of PvP and eventually they did away with it, but it was still there. I imagine most people never saw it and even less progressed through it.

Biggest flaw was that a balanced realm usually never saw it. The concept was cool though.

The nice thing about adding a wb sized pve encounter to a PQ is that if you don't want to do it, you don't have to. I don't know why people would get upset about having variety.

The thing that YOU don't understand is no matter what you do in game design, there will always be someone complaining about it. You just have to do what you think is right and hope for the best. If you try to make everyone happy you will get a muddled mess.

My biggest concern for these PQs would be you want get the needed participation, but even if that happens it shouldn't impact the rest of the game negatively.

To be honest the whole idea of a raid for grind a pq for a pvp set is kinda to much similar to TOA. People not gonna enjoy the grind.

is like the old way to grind ruin at first , people just give up and went to lakes, wasnt untill it was made easier than people even bothered to run it.

Yes i would have to agree with you Nefar on all points. Only pve i ever did on this game was lotd dungeon. I am sure i am in the same boat as most others, preferring pvp over pve when ot comes to this game. I do hope that those that come here for pve can also enjoy themselves and progress also.

Give it time i am sure it will be more attractive when the other pqs are up and running

Bis is actually conc/dom in most cases lmao, but i am sure peeps want the cosmetics of that pq set

I remember tanking the Lord. I also remember it being exciting at the beginning, because you had limited time to kill it, limited tries. Even this kind of pve got boring fast, and you could only play it in city sieges. So they replaced it with a 24 vs 24 scenario, because people didn't play WAR to play warband sized pve. There are other games, which are far better at that. Hence, my point, wasting time and resources on implementing such content into RoR, in 2018. My point excactly.

That's a meaningless platitude, applicable to anything..."you can't make everyone happy". No you can't, but that doesn't mean there aren't good or bad design/content decisions.

Players want to enjoy pvp/rvr and experience a reasonable character progression, that's why they play the game. To introduce warband sized pve content, with these kind of drop rates is just a failure on many levels, and i'm not the one who's salty about that fact.
