XPing in the game

Could you please make XP grinding not like WOW where the more players you add, the more your XP takes a nosedive ?
Maybe instead have a group xp bonus for players in a certain radius of each other to make that aspect of the game more social ?

I have noticed that if anyone gets 3 levels above the other guy(s), everyone gets punished on the XP amounts no matter how high of a mob you take your duo or trio to fight. So If I'm 30 and my bud digs 33 in our group- and we go attack lvl 36 mobs, the xp doesn't scale but instead seems to hurt us for grouping together. If he stays within a level or 2 then were fine.

I understand you don't want power leveling, but you can't draw in and retain new players if you give them an uphill battle in the beginning ? It just reminds them of WOW and they quit. DAOC had a more social aspect of xp groups and leveling for whom the game was originally made by.

If you group with someone 5 or more levels difference, then your XP gets a massive Nerf. If you farm Mobs that are more than 5 lvls difference from anyone in the group, your XP gets a massive nerf.

In the scenarios above, if you had been farming R35 mobs, you would of received a normal amount of XP. The XP is equally divided amongst everyone in the party.

I’m not getting into the reasons why... just remember it’s within 5 lvls for all party members, AND mob lvl.

They really need to change it back to how it was prior, the exp grind is wearing people thin

It was done to stop power-leveling. True grinding is boring but it is in any MMO. And anyway, your first character should be questing and experiencing the levelling areas. Once that's old then you just grind mobs. If you were dedicated enough you could hit level 40 in just under a week.

currently, and dev's choice since we're all guests here anyways... grind is faster BUT on retail questing was fastest way for a group to level(even solo) an associate drove his health a bit crap getting a tank 1 to 40 in about 25 hours straight through.
look at the slightly less dim side, if you're with a group of friends you'll have somebody to talk to and likely to burn through more mobs/quests than somebody schlepping it solo.

You can look at it that way or you can look at it that as soon as your 16 you're thrown into a hostile lvl 40 dominated pvp scene and with lack of tactic slots and a mediocre bolster your odds of winning a fight go way down. So yes questing should give a game experience but I think people should be allowed to power level quickly should they choose to.

Bolster works fine. Sure, it's better for some classes than others, because some classes don't get strong "build defining" tactics/abilities until higher levels, but for the most part it does its job across the board.

Your first character should be getting bloodied and battered in RvR. This isn't a PvE game.

Bolster isn't mediocre. Its incredibly strong if you keep your character gear up, and its borderline over-performing when your character crests; I actually made my conceptual Zealot absorb build viable from r27 - r30 because bolster buffs your abilities to r48, including tactics.
