Having some npcs and a hard hitting lord that doesnt run off has an affect on players and they were much more likely to defend an npc than a flag. In practice when theres lack of a leader to stand and fight the lord provides that.
Id love to see lord return and keep claiming with upgrading npcs to champs for a large gold cost to guild.
This also helped the economy and gave gold a reason.

just as a reminder cause im quite sure a mack truck of people did not realize
- this poll is about the keep stuff only we could have no npcs and still a lock system that rewards fighting back at more then 1 place
- this server does not have 1000+ guys on 24/7 so most time keep lords would mean no keep raids at all, that said, especialy cause this server is so funky random adhoc group intensive
i do agree that war 1.3.6 was better then 1.4.x, but i never missed beeing unable to go into lakes for 8 hours a day

well 6 guys does not seem much
on the other hand a crushed several 6-12 man keep raider groups solely by paying keep upgrades, did not even take oil additionaly
on the new system i defended aao too, but that was me(and my pals) that defended, not me(and my pals) emoting at the enemys that get roflstomped by pve mobs
oil and battlements are enough to slow down enemys, especialy when you can slow down keep progress with bos
oh i want to add that 6 guys mean 1-2 routined tanks, 1-2 routined healers in a voicechat organised group
not 6 randoms mashing whatever buttons is around, ive totaly seen whole warbands getting destroyed in t2 elf keeps even without anyone defending or buying keep upgrades

Am i the only one who thinks that old system needs alot of people on siege, while new one does not, and online may not be not very high, so people won't be able to capture keeps and lock

There are a lot of issues involving T2 being implemented, first of all the spreading of the server population... I guess talking about sieges is useless now, but I prefer the old version by far

I think if you guys run t2 etc. so ea, workshop, and I do not know who else, it would start on this "emu" more interested, because only t1 was ftp...

The disadvantage of new system is that I remember taking keeps by myself if no one else was in the zone between rat farming sessions.,....kind of boring.
However, the community here is pretty strong, so that may not happen.
Just putting the lords in the keeps might prevent that kind of nonsense.
Still, I think that 8 hrs in a zone lock was way too long.
We will see what the devs do, I imagine they will unlock 1 zone at a time, as it is a ton of work to unlock all of a tier. I am impressed that they have come this far and have been taking a ton of screenshots, just to keep some some of the fun memories around if these guys ever throw in the towel.
I like the cap at 12/20, I think 20/30 would be a fine cap for tier 2. Plenty of cool gear at that level, I thought anyways.
I really hope they get influence rewards going. that's where you could get some great belts/backs without getting robbed at the AH.
