ROR Launcher Error

keep getting this error when i try launch the game {im in windows 10}
Could not connect to Login server

'C:\Users\New User\Desktop\data.myp'.

Launcher must be in your gamefolder. Seems it is on your desktop.

How could this even happen? The launcher already is inside the game folder when you download it
