I did just get hit for 435 with a lvl 8 slayer's AoE in a SC today. Hmm I'm interested to make one and try it out.

Slayers is by far the best DPS of all classes but like all DPSs need a guard and 2 pocket healers

Slayer damage seems ok to me. It was never mind blowing in T1, but with heals and a guard it's good enough.

I personally didn't enjoy my Slayer till T3.

That said, Slayers shouldn't be able to dominate alone. When paired with a tank, even in T1, a knowledgeable slayer is absolutely fine. This is from someone who has run with a slayer as a pocket tank.

Alone you can't kill any half brained healer who knows how to use detaunt with any DPS. Killing a guarded target on your own is also very unlikely.
Good equipped tanks are also out of reach, because you can't stack weaponskill yet and every slayer/choppa is running around with just ~ 25% armor penetration.

Maybe the people complaining could be a little more specific about what they think is so wrong with their class atm (small hint: a few more points in strength won't help solo-killing the targets mentioned above).
