IB or KOTBS?

Hello All,

I am new to the server, I used to play WAR years ago when it was Live. I want to play a two hand tank. I have a low level KOTBS and IB, I like both. I am trying to decide which one to focus on. I will be playing mainly solo, small grp, and SCs, maybe some dungeons here and there for gear and etc. Any helpful advice you can offer would be welcome.

Has to be IB. It is much better and more fun than knight in very small scale battle.

Dont worry about PVE. All the tank can do it.

I’ve come back to my ib of late after trying out a variety of classes ( ib was my first ) . Still only mid 40s rr on it but really enjoy it above all else . The only thing I guess is to decide what u prefer as both vary in play style . Ib has a lot of great abilities that buff you and oathfriend but had a great deal of micro managing them in order to be efficient and get the most from the class . I haven’t tried knight but it seems a lot more passive in play style ( forgive me for being nieve if I’m wrong here just my impressions from what I have seen ) I guess also looks is important and dwarf ib looks badass imho

I will just add to consider how the classes play out, I would say that performing as a kotbs is easier than ib, because ib has quite the toolset to use, 2 resources pools , much buff tracking and an annoying (for me) oathfriend mechanic to switch quite often to maximize grudges generation. (well if u play with a friend, or from 2man roaming group this become a non-issue, I am mostly referring to the usual scenario pug situation)

If this doesn't bother you, and you also have plenty of keybinds then I would also say IB.

The reason for my initial, short reply are the +5 or so threads on the very same topic.
Skim through the forums a tad, most people that'd normally post in here had their say in all those threads.

thanks for all the feed back! I will dig a little deeper and see what is there. So far I am gathering that the IB is a bit more useful, but is a bit more work, and the KOTBS is a bit easier to play, but both are good.

SnB SM .... it's no joke

ib - hard micromanagement
Knight boring and limited to be def snb or def 2h
SM has both 2h or snb options available

IB is good, but the best 2 hander tank class is SM without a doubt.
