now WL can fill front line.
It's good to see them act like melee.
sometimes they even do the vanguard.
awesome changes.
though many ppl use that gift only in 1on1 level.
but
i wonder who's gonna win 1on1
unkillable mara vs WL
SM8, SW8, AM8, WL7, KoBS6, BW6, WP8, WH7, IB8, Eng5, RP5, SL6

It seems like you have misunderstood the guardian whine.
A guardian WL will be tanky, but can still do burst dmg, and kill people fast. Whereas a monstro mara will be tanky, but do no burst, or any sort of real dmg. So with the mara you will have plenty of time to react, and if you receive any sort of heals the monstro mara will not stand a chance at killing you.

You cant just "send the pet", the further it is away from you, the less damage it does and one day people will get a clue and punch the pet in the face
I've started kiting the Lion and it does seem to work quite well

That's a good way to get pulled if you are melee.

If you are an unprotected mdps i advise you avoid trying this.

Ignoring a pet isnt protection from pulls, dead pets cant pull anything, dead pets cut guardians damage output by an exceptional amount, dead pets means WL loses all CC, dead pets means 50% bonus crit damage is gone etc etc. The only WL who isnt adversely effected by losing a pet is Loner and/or someone who runs revenge.

Im not entirely sure what you are suggesting, run away and stay outside of 65ft range of a WL player?
I don't know how this should work. If you are alone doing dmg to the pet of a guardian wl is the worst you can do. At best you get his pet down before dieing yourself and then what killing the wl? Like how, at this point you are at 10-20% yourself and it's not like the WL is going to cry for his pet and do nothing. Even worse if you are a caster/rangedd and try to focus the pet / do not detaunt it your way is over after 2/3 gcd. If it's a normal wl sure detaunt the player kill the pet difficult but doable. What I found that works quite well atleast as a dps DoK is detaunting the pet and slowly dmging the WL down. I tried the otherway around and in most cases it was a certain loss. He would just burst my ass into heaven and that with 3.5k armor, 7k hp, 0% critable and 350 toughness...

Edit. I know killing the pet in a grp setting is perfectly fine and I know aswell that you don't balance around 1v1 but the thing is you have to understand that it's just frustrating (as a caster) to be not able to do anything. Even in a small group you do a small mistake and it's over for you as a squishy while the WL can pull of misplays left and right and get away with it. Worse is even if you don't screw up, a LF + pull move can end you aswell and there is nothing much you can do about it

Would be nice if the lightspeed of the pet wont remain once WL enter combat. They are flying like bullets all around the place so theres almost no time to react to it.

As with all things mdps positioning is key, however in any sort of stand off situation (keep sieges are the example but other examples do exist such as bridges and warcamps) the pet only comes forward to fish for squishes, it's just the sensible thing for the wl to do, you can snack on the blob without risking diving head long into it, you already start with a nice bit of distance so kiting is less of a problem.

Pets these days are i think its fair to say are the toughest they have ever been, they can take quite a walloping so it stands to reason that it will take time to get it down even if its only a few seconds. For a melee however that's to long it can pull you in an instant and that for most pugs is death so why would they want to risk getting near it?.

I am fully aware of what the pet brings, what it means to the wl and i know that killing it will likely cripple his ability to dps, I've been playing long enough after all i certainly should know most things XD

The fact remains though that moving towards a pet on your squishy dps literally just plays into the wl's hands if he is fishing for a pull.

Lightspeed? It's a 50% ms tactic which wastes a dps tactic slot and can't catch mounted people with that. Mandatory for pugging I'd say, but useless otherwise.

I think hes referring to the fact that its recall speed is much faster than its normal speed. I think this is standard for most pets.

Do you have some footage to showcase this particular fact? Last time I played my WL I haven't noticed any discrepancy between attack and retreat movement speed of the pet, at least in the last few months that is.
