that wasn't my point, infact nobody said the guy is carried by his rank (not particularly him, just anyone in his position)
the whole thing was good player + good toon and the difference in performance with the fresh ones, yet people seems to be amazed by that difference which is mostly made of Gear/RR/Organized Play

Magus is pretty sad atm.

No it isn't, its one of the strongest rdps classes at the moment. You have multiple variants for a monster ST build, a close-combat AoE spec that has phenomenal synergy with Sorceresses, and of course Rift. Also, with the changes to Flamer, solo'ing as a Magus is now far easier than ever before, even without Resolute Defense.

Bolt of Change is undefendable, Flickering Red Fire and Rend Winds are undefendable with tactic, Conqueror/Beastlord/Genesis gives you 12% Disrupt strike-through. If all you're getting is Disrupts, then you're playing the class wrong.

I know exactly how to play the class and how to gear it.
There have been several (locked) threads discussing these issues, and also several Dark Magi mentioning there how they've switched over to Sorcerers.
The Magus has way too issues to mention in what was clearly a troll thread. The OPed has 2 posts but has been around since 2014.
