I was just wondering if there is any old videos on Youtube or guide threads on how to gear up properly and such for when you get to rank 40 and beyond?
For example: When should i start considering to do Gunbad? How do you do Gunbad? Any Tactics? Where do i farm Ruin?
its just some examples, the in-game Advice channel is helpful to a certain extent, some people reply and most of the time people are busy smashing skulls or doing ORVR.
There could probably be a guide somewhere but i have yet to find one and it would help new players / returning players etc a ton and also save the "pain" from having too many un-experienced people running around, if that annoys you personally that is.

None that I am aware off. Most focus on getting the RVR sets and add INF rewards to buff those up till Tier 4. After that it is the Ruin set or beastlord with epic weapons from PVE quests, unless Subjugator weapons dropped for ya already

It's a hrind but any easy level pq will get you full Ruin in a relatively short time.

I dont mind grinding, already feels like keeping the RR equal to the normal R is a grind by itselfFallenkezef wrote:It's a hrind but any easy level pq will get you full Ruin in a relatively short time.

Yeah i play as a slayer, i would go for that spell, but im so meh about Dual Wield, RG and Flurry spamming has been working great for me so far when it comes to AoE, but i will give it a go once i get to around R 30

There is a Ruin PQ in Praag to the west of the RvR zone, one which drops the currency required to buy the set pieces. There is another such PQ in Eataine, as well as the primary Ruin PQ which drops the actual set pieces in loot bags.
The Praag PQ resets rather quickly and can be run with just a few people. The primary Ruin PQ requires at least a six-man party.
As for leveling beyond Tier One, the best advice I can give is always attach yourself to a warband and roll with the herd. Later, as you gear up a bit, you can begin to run in smaller groups or solo.
Oh, and do SC's. A lot of SC's. Overall they grant the best renown.

For PvE farm, I'd suggest full parry+hp/s build (use ToK/renown and a mix-and-match of gear sets), Short Temper (tactic, will refer to it as ST going forwards) and ID - RoA isn't necessary, if you fancy it and are low on gear ... meh, if you have gear parry+hp/s and the insane AoE through ST/ID is well enough to do +10er pulls (with little downtime, as with the parry and hp/s you can basically keep on grinding whilst sitting at 20%ish HP - cycling M1 and such).
RG is essentially a waste for PvE, you might aswell properly spec for the grind, spend a day or two grinding what you need and then respec and forget about it again - Flurry spam, too, is lackluster compared to the speed you can ramp up with ST/ID, most pulls will evaporate before you drop below 75% HP anyways.
Tag NPCs, slap ID on all off them, position yourself once you made a pull to parry attacks, save M1 in case you drop to low (and drop Rage if you have to).
I used to grind the demons at the CW PQ in the tower whenever I was bored and needed a gold infusion.
Sadly, the NPCs are gone now... they used to have a decent spawntime and didn't need a specific stage of the PQ - the PQ itself seems a bit bonkers atm, dunno how to even trigger the first stage.
In regards to guides for gear and such, check the wiki - the lists on there are comprehensive enough, alternatively do a forum search; alot of (the ever same) advice has been written down throughout the months in plenty of threads all over the place.
I'd suggest you have a look at the threads that complain about gear accessibility and the tier merger, they'll contain the most up-to-date advice on gearing and such.
Truth be told, a compilation of all the advice would be fancy for new players... but, well, one would have to compile it all, and hardly anyone can be arsed to do so, as the thread containing the compiled information would just go unnoticed anyways, even if it were stickied.
My cynical 2cents, no offense intended.
Abbd.:
Having played too much IB, I've misread/mistaken RG for Rampage above. Now, RG is equally as useless for PvE as is Rampage, you really don't want to use it whilst grinding, it massively slows you down - the additional damage is fluff, whereas the drain on your HP is not.

If you are 35lvl+ slot Push For More, you can get auto attack speed accessories (Oathstones) from Tome of Knowledge unlocks giving you nice 40% attack speed bonus while furious (yellow), tons of your damage comes from auto attacks, do the T4 epic quests for weapons as well. With that setup you can chose your build as you like for PvE farm (guys before me covered it enough). Note that while you are channeling RoA you won't perform autoattacks so it's not necessarily good spec to go with RoA. ID is godly for ST and AoE so you can't go wrong with it.
Getting Ruin is easy but takes some commitment, find a group to do harder PQs (orcwerks in eataine for example) or do the easy ones solo (KV, Praag, Dragonwake, Reik - although mobs are spread and takes longer than the others even though mobs are lower level). By grind you will get some nice amount of gold and even more experience.
Also, if you don't want to run PvE much do ORvR and convert medallions so you will get Annihilator set or do some sc's for Mercenary. Note that you can buy boots and gloves from auction house. Getting the rest of the scenario set will be painful if you don't win some, converting conqueror emblems down would still require you to have at least 68 conqueror emblems (410 is total cost, subtract 33 and 37 from that if you buy boots and gloves from AH and you still need 340 officer emblems which can be acquired by converting down 68 conq emblems).
Doing Gunbad and Beastlord requires a team that knows what to do (especially in Gunbad) but that might pose a problem. Find guildies that will lend you a hand
And lastly - there are PvE lairs all around the world that drop some nice blue items, they require groups as well, but usually are worth the effort (even if just for unique item skins)

Currently sitting on level R 27 and RR 27 atm, but ive never heard about those Oathstonesszejoza wrote:If you are 35lvl+ slot Push For More, you can get auto attack speed accessories (Oathstones) from Tome of Knowledge unlocks giving you nice 40% attack speed bonus while furious (yellow), tons of your damage comes from auto attacks, do the T4 epic quests for weapons as well.

Is there any info on the wiki about them or "relics from the past" wiki posts one where to find it?
Also, where is the starter for the T4 epic weapon?

You have info here about all kinds of accessories viewtopic.php?t=13566
and here about ToK rewards https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/inde ... _(Rewards)
but you won't be able to use them yet, they need 35lvl as well
https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/inde ... Oathstones
For all the epic quests info go here https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/inde ... pic_Quests
although your rank will be too low for T4 epic quests, I'd say do the T3 now if you haven't done them before
At 27lvl you can't get ID yet so you can go whatever build you want, play with skills, check what fits you the most. This is the time to get to know your class, not to pick the cookie cutter build
oh. and slot Ancentral Inheritance tactic, that armor bonus is really nice for a squishy slayer
