Sorry, I wasn't sarcastic or trying to be a passive-aggressive smartass. I'm genuinely curious how pet behaviour should be determined by that factor alone and where the lines are drawn :cTorquemadra wrote:Sure, would an extended break from the forums help you with that?Scrilian wrote:Ones a ranged and ones MDPS, can you elaborate, please, since I have rough time wrapping my head around this?Torquemadra wrote: Yeah.... ones a ranged class, ones a MDPS and ignoring that, while there are some issues with height they respect LOS and attacks will only "go through walls" if they started that one channel attack while you were in LOS.

Wow, thanks for the quite a comprehensive and detailed explanation. I think it answers pretty much all of my concerns

Re: Pet changes on taking damage
I was speaking to this AOE dots do full damage to the PET again more than the other targeted damage. if someone is specifically targeting the Pet, then yeah it should be dealt full damage. But to me this is like say a Magus casts glean magic on a BW, but the WL pet happens to be standing by it. Does it get full damage or reduced damage? Seems to me like you are saying it now receives full damage. Maybe I am just not comprehending what you are talking about.Torquemadra wrote:What are you talking about? WLs take much reduced damage from direct damage AOEsAkalukz wrote:The CC immunity was OP, but I think the damage reduction should have stayed. I am fairly new to the WL so can't speak to much, but sure does seem to die easily.

I still hope that stances (like armor buff) from pets is removed and handeled somehow differently. It hurts to lose access to several skills if your squig dies but it is kind of a dealbreaker if you get locked out for 30s from the stance you need to survive in close combat. Think about WL: Currently he loses his offensive capabilitys when the pet dies now think about that he also loses his defensive capabilitys when the pet dies that would hurt right? If people are complaining that the pet is being focused now think about what would happen if what I just mentioned would be the case...Foomy44 wrote:O man, did not think I could be more excited for stabbity rework, but here we areTorquemadra wrote:Melee ones will receive lion adjustments when I rework the squig melee tree.
However I'm really excited for the stabbity rework too currently you only have a few attacks within the squig armor and what they showed looks very intressting and promissing esp that you get so many additional skills. I can't wait to test this stuff^^

wls always try to defend theselves with the my pet dies or focused my dps die , as u pointed pet killing for shs is even worse as it affects his survivality aswell,Valfaros wrote:I still hope that stances (like armor buff) from pets is removed and handeled somehow differently. What most wl owners wich dont ever played a sh dont know is , each pet of sh provide different bonus and acces to skills wich affect his whole role and while the wl pet cd is 15 secs , it has a cast time of 1,5 ON THE MOVE.
Sh doesnt have that luxury , his pets are on 30 secs cd and he need to stay stationary for 2 whole seconds summoning one. on solo , wb , or 6 man thats way harder handicap for shs than wls wich can still retain ihis debuffs and recover thanks movility and grp .
