[Guilds] Can't leave as the only member

I made this guild on one of my character but then for some reason I feelt that I should leave and rather focus on playing the games instead of owning a guild. I can't leave it and the only way to leave it is to invite a fool, make him the leader and leave by myself.

Is this happening only for me and my character or to everyone?

It's a known issue (for every guild leader :) ).

Can you make a new character, have someone else invite him to guild, make him guild leader and then leave the guild?

I mailed my character all that characters items and deleted him. Have no other option.
