Hey all,
just started playing the game and loving it so far.
Only problem i'm having is I have an extremely high ping (average of 430ish MS) since i'm australian.
It's not terrible most the time but it definitely makes gameplay hard and get the occasional spike that just makes it even worse to sometimes unplayable.
I usually use Battleping for all my MMOs but for some reason even though it's saying it's connected when I get to the server select screen it just can't connect.
Do VPNs / tunneling programs just not work for this server? I've played other MMO private servers such as WoW and archeage using battleping with no issues.
Server ping - using a vpn / tunneling system doesn't work?

They work but what kind of quality you get depends on the infrastructure of the vpn provider and where the vpn terminates. You can try for example one of the free ones just to check if something changes for the better. AFAIK the location for the server is in France, at least that is what geolocation tells me, so you might try that country as an endpoint.

Messed around with battleping around abit with its settings and managed to log into the game with it connected. seems I had to have a different connection setting on for some reason, odd that this is the only game I've come across thatss ever needed it.
now to test my ping, hopefully it will be down to the 300ms

I have also tried more than 10 programs and no effect. The server does not respond when I turn on the VPN.

I had the same problem. way I fixed it for battleping is after you have chosen the server (I'm using France 4) click 'Connection' and set it to 2. that's the only way ive found to get it to work.Alfinnete wrote:I have also tried more than 10 programs and no effect. For testing purposes you can use
http://www.vpngate.net/en/
Make sure you connect via udp and you are good to go. Tested it a minute before and login to the server is possible with vpn connected.
