mixed feelings on the change of - No more cross realm talk, staff is excluded from this.

Will miss honourable chat / friendly banter after hard fights... also will miss the Dwarf Macro's as the famous gun line makes a last stand in the middle of the battlefield

but I can understand that a few bad apples spoil for all... because bitterstones its not just roleplayers or your guild that have been called that mate often, we have got it alot also (not just from order mind) but I mostly ignored the trash and people getting salty from dying to us... I always remembered names though and just focussed them a tiny bit more to make their day I found actions always spoke more than words could no need to waste too much energy on that negativity fights > talking

Will have to salute people from the other side more on forum from time to time instead

no more battle chats with teefs, or the rest of the dorks ,was so much fun, banter during battles lifted the excitement levels any chance of making the left wing reset a little longer 3 min after a wipe tends to reset fast and a loss of GRP members??

Would it be possible to make characters who have each other on the friends list be able to intetact cross realm? I have no idea if that is even possible to arrange but just an idea

Sad to see the cross realm chat go but i'm not surprised the Devs got fed up with it either. For every 10 instances of good natured banter on the server there was some misanthrope/salttard/immature person/hypercompetive jerkwad who ruined it with their BS. On the other hand though emoting between realms may become more commonplace now so its not a total loss.

RoR has a really calm playerbase compared to other online games (mostly thanks to the staff), it's really sad to see Xrealm chat removed because of a few people. Tbh, since i've started playing i saw only 2 times that a player was flaming the other realm, and both times the other side simply laughed or just ignored it completely.

I doubt this change is going to solve much regarding toxic behaviour, if someone is toxic to the point of insulting people, they will just create a character in the opposing faction and just private message instead. Toxicity is something to be expected in online gaming, no matter how hard you try. You can't remove it completely.

The ignore button was created for that reason.

was the offline with a timemarker, so we didn't loos the contribution by disconnect, so like sometimes in big fights near a lord? will be a big lost if ya fight a boss and the whole time in the wb and become a disconnect in bossfight AND loos all contribution

To be a little more productive in my already extremely unproductive post, I liked the xrealm talk. Sure it'll be nice that no one can call me trash or other hurtful(truthful) words after my loldps chosen loses 1vX's. But it was a fun meme to laugh at being "zaxxed", or "killed by mr.barracudax.". My friends and I started making jokes and having a good time saying things like "don't zax me bro" or, "do whatever it takes to not get killed by mr.barracudaX." Okay I still don't like that last one, but I appreciated the friendly/unfriendly banter for what it was.

Tzeentch's influence can only be praised... But I would love to give a coin to the birdgod for a potion or something that lets whomever uses it hear cross realm talk so I can be Zaxxed once more in this lifetime <3

i fight for 2 hours yesterday in kadrin.. and have to quit due to rl during siege.

today have no reward for this, disappointed.

Mhrm, it comes down to picking evils ~ with xchat gone the littering in the public channels will be amplified.

Where brats would vent their anger in /t and /s, they'll now be more inclined to drown /ad and other channels with their insufferable complaints and 'balance' issues, riling up other derps in the process. In other words, xchat helped contain stupid, selfish and obnoxious 'locally'...
I'd imagine it to be easier for an individual to slap that ignore button upon receiving trash per /t or /s once a week, than for the lot of volunteers to slap that /exile, or what-have-you button on a daily, hourly and minute basis from this point onwards, given the above scenario.

TLDR: It will direct attention and respective trashtalking towards other channels; "unadultered cancer" is not a xchat-specific phenomenon ~ it just happens to be reported more often than the various derps raging in realm specific public channels.
