Never understood why players hate rpers so much in every mmorpg. RPers are generally way nicer and chill. I guess RP itself can look weird or cringe worthy if youre not a part of it, but come on, youre playing a game online as some elf wearing a dress pretending to shoot lasers at orcs, youre pretty weird no matter what. And I dont even RP.
Meh. I support use of ignore button. Makes me wonder why they even include such a thing.

Re: Patch Notes 6/1/2018
Mass punishment on the account of a small minority of players feels wrong. If the reasoning is that GMs are tired of filtering and discussing with players why they need to not be potty mouths, the reporting player can be given a copy and pasted "thanks for the heads up- but did you know by right clicking the player name and then clicking block can permanently deny this player the capacity to further pester you? Block this player from further communicating with you." And the reported player can receive a cross faction mute and copy pasted "you've been a potty mouth. You've been muted for x days. Next report will lead to further action."
We've all seen player versus RoR team arguments if we've been playing for a few months, which all go somewhat like this:
Player: I say or do something dumb
GM: personalized message along the lines of "stop being a dumb ass"
Player: who are you calling a dumb ass, dumb ass
GM: *cracks whip*
Player: *autistic screeching* omg, RoR is full of madminz, I hate them!
If instead of personalizing the inevitably irritating interactions between the obnoxious few, a swift and standardized process would serve to preserve one of the best changes, in my opinion, this server has over the original.

What about Roleplayers ? i think we dont lack of respect with anyone, even with small friendly taunts..Natherul wrote:A decision was made to stop cross talk since there is no real point in it at all and it was used more often then not by taunting or rage:ing at an opponent.
You are punishing a catergory of players who organised events in RVR and/or Pve to chat with ennemy.
Why ? because of few kiddos who can't restrain themselves to insult people.
Besides, there is a option called 'Ignored' so you dont read the shittalks (usually coming from the same players who got banned anyway)
So now, friendly players are punished, and shittalker who are feeding the rage won't be ban anymore.
I dont post often, and its my first complain, no matter how hard you Nerfed the WL again and again because of destro whines, but this is the worst patch x)

Sad to see this also. Not all cross factions tells are trash or insults... Also there's ignore function or report. I even think this will encourage hate between the 2 sides.
Re: Patch Notes 6/1/2018
i had alredy wrote this ,REMOVE all comunication exept
/shout
why:
it as a 10 sec CD on spam so it cant be spam, ppl can use say chat to organize and shout to tell ppl at enemy aka shout stuff at the enemy.
Is not a whisper and so you cant just trash talk someone away from you

Re: Patch Notes 6/1/2018
I really don't get the change to cross-realm chat, it was one of my favorite things about the server as it added a lot to the immersion, Warhammer races do understand each other for the most part. I mean ok, i get that you hope it will reduce the work GMs have to do but i doubt it will reduce abuse. Just apply harsher punishment to people who actually cross the line and tell people who report others over nothing to stop doing it. People already abuse each other plenty in their own faction's chat, what's next? Remove scenario chat? There's plenty of cancer in that chat whenever you're on the losing side. Then RvR chat? People "abuse" leechers and idiots(like the people who reset the keep lord multiple times despite being told what they're doing wrong) all the time in it. Maybe /ad chat as well, people get laughed at over various things in that chat on a daily basis.

I can see your reasoning, and understand the terms of being allowed to play RoR. It's your project, you make the rules.
But it really is a sad day for the RP community. A lot of work has gone into events, with inter realm communication being essential for these. Lorewise, the Druchii speak Tar Eltharin as well as Drukh Eltharin. So banter would occur. Taunting too, has always been a part of battle. I doubt that you will reconsider, I genuinely appreciate all the hard work that goes into these game changes and managing the community. But I can't deny that I'm feeling very sad about this decision.
As you say, deal with it. We will have to find work around for RP events. We did in live, we will do so now.

Re: Patch Notes 6/1/2018
Maybe I'm just not good enough to earn angry tells from people, but I don't remember cross-faction chat being any worse than same-realm chat. Not to mention that, um... the cross-realm chat was definitely helping to see the other realm players as HUMANS (for better or worse...), rather than a bunch of mindless, emotionless bots that some people prefer to see them as. At least that's what my impression of talk channel chatter was. An important and enjoyable part of the game was lost with this update.
Speaking of which, if it's tells that are the problem... could we at least keep the talk channel? Or are people really that bad even there?
