Nah, you can detaunt on cool down and still easily pull agro when the fight becomes contested by enemy players where you are forced to group heal. Sure, say don't group heal .....of course not pulling agro is pointless if everyone wipes to the enemy eh?
Nope on my WP i do not get aggro during keep fights if i detaunt on cd. Now if the keep is contested with enemy players i use detaunt in the same way (intimidating repent) since that also affects the boss.

Did mechanics change over the holidays and I missed it? HAven't been playing as much and admittedly was leveling alts when I did to take advantage of double xp.

As with most 'issues' or concerns on this server, it's (9 times out of 10) unfortunately a player issue - but people don't like being told that.

Can't detaunt any faster than on cool down bro, but troll away if you must. It really adds a bunch to the topic.

ive never pulled the lord with a detaunt up, dont know how you can manage such things but i guess im just a troll and obv you know better

Most often the resets come from a small handful of people who are standing outside of the "middle," but are otherwise visibly nearby on the edge somewhere. It seems that most of them do it because they are non-english speakers who don't understand the ensuing "get off the stairs" in /s bombardment and are just used to standing on the stairs as a healer/ranged. I don't know for a fact that they don't understand English but it seems more of a logical explanation than x-realm saboteurs. I really find it hard to believe that ppl are doing this deliberately and risking getting flamed/banned. I don't know what the fix for this could be so it is a player issue until ppl read the patchnotes/ learn I suppose.

Much less often and as someone mentioned above, the lord also bugs out sometimes and yells out a new targets name and then disappears/resets or just straight resets. I have seen this happen and hope to get it recorded. I would also encourage anyone who regularly streams to keep an eye out for it.

A PVE mechanic in a PVP or RVR setting is not a player issue. A tether mechanic is not a player issue either. It's amazing how there is always that l33t poster who never has an issue because of their boundless skill and game knowledge even though the rest of the player base experiences the issue daily. Detaunt helps, but does not alleviate the agro issues for healers. But instead of talking about agro, detaunt and placement, the better discussion is whether there should be a PVE feature at all. Btw, just because something is grindy doesn't make it challenging, it just makes it a timesink.
