Group with a good WL, knight and 2h SM. Any group you come across will be all preoccupied with the loldps you can stand wherever the hell you want. WL can pull or kd any mdps off you, you can lolselfpunt away and snare anyone coming at you.

Thank you Saupreusse, but I do not play Destro. Never have never will. I just take a break from the battle at that point.

Or you could play assault, it's amazing for those of us that suck at the game because of the raw damage it can put out and amazing parry against melees aswell as knockdown/disarm. Still gonna have a really hard time against a few specific maguses, but most of them are very much beatable.Elftwin95 wrote:Thank you Saupreusse, but I do not play Destro. Never have never will. Thank you Lefze for your input but I like the ranged aspects of the SW and prefere to play and focus that.

When they switch to assault stance they get +10 parry -10 dodge and +120 WS
Re: [Shadow Warrior] Positioning help sorely needed.
Pretty sure the -10 dodge was removed. As for the parry, thats correct, and with gear, wrist slash and IA on top you get close to 1k WS.Raefar wrote:sinadin wrote:

I'll whole-heartedly agree with those advising strafe right/left rather than the standard "turn" right/left as a major factor in performance. Strafe is so very important to being able to do damage to your enemy without getting "caught" [and likely kilt if you don't have assault - unless you have gear/rank advantage anyway.]
Also, when I first started playing SW I was a *cough*mouse mover*cough* because that worked just fine with my RP and Slayer. While I was able to master the mouse flip (letting me shoot enemies behind me whilst moving,) the mobile ranged SW is a completely different animal from RP/Slayer. Not only does keyboard moving give you better damage with on the move abilities [not just SPA, but /any/ mobile ability,] but it also frees your mouse/trackball up for visual/situational awareness, which is another really important ability for range SW play.
Video examples so one can see how massive a differences we're talking about:
