I don´t think that this problem is solvable in RoR. You could either make a queue only for premades, that would be good for pug´s but how many sc pops do premades get then per evening ? I assume very little. Or you could disallow premades at all, that would also solve the problem for pug´s but people who want to play coordinated with mates could not do it anymore. I don´t see a reasonable change that would please both parties.
I am also not sure if pre mades enjoy the roflstomping. On live i had the pleasure to fight sometimes in a well known premade on carroburg at that time, not as a regular member, but i was helping out here and then. These evenings were the most boring ones ever. There was literally no fight at all. The opponent read the names and got afk on the spawn, it was awful most of the times and nobody enjoyed or bragged about it. So the only thing to get a challenge at all was either a scrim in rvr against other premades or go zergbusting, in sc´s it was not possible most of the times. I think most premades enjoy either the coordinated play or playing with their friends or a combination of the two but not "hue hue hue let´z get stompz some noobz", even if it feels that way on the reveiving end (and i had my good share of that on live too...)

It's not a 'if you pug dont play our game' mentality it's 'if you want to pug the accept the consequences which are: getting roflstomped quite often'Fallenkezef wrote:I do worry about this "if you pug dont play our game" mentality.
There is a danger of driving off players and the playerbase isnt all that big, especialy during NA hours.
I enjoy pugging, and I consider myself good pugger, and I can't stand people who whine about being killed by others while they pug
And well, getting with 31lvl with no gear/renown vs 40s with much better equipment, skill asset, experience won't end well, even if you get bolstered to sky high levels

I get that, never whine over it. Very confused as to why people misread my op to think I am whining about getting facerolled. Doesnt bother me, just get up and back into the game.szejoza wrote:It's not a 'if you pug dont play our game' mentality it's 'if you want to pug the accept the consequences which are: getting roflstomped quite often'Fallenkezef wrote:I do worry about this "if you pug dont play our game" mentality.

But reading many of the posts in this thread reveals a rather nasty tone in regards to puggers.

I disagree, sure you get the usual whines about "x class needs y buff"szejoza wrote:Because in 99% of the cases they want changes while not trying to better themselvesFallenkezef wrote: But reading many of the posts in this thread reveals a rather nasty tone in regards to puggers.
But most if us casuals do our best, enjoy the game and get involved. Sure, we cant invest the hours other "hardcores" invest to be the best but doesnt mean casuals dint want to be better.
In my case I changed allot if what I do based on your own post on slayers.
As I kerp repeating, the point of this thread was the afk players who give up 30 seconds into an sc.

I would just like to say that I share your opinion Fallenkezef in regards to casuals and such. Also, yes, AFKing in the WC in a SC is also quiet annoying, though I can somewhat understand it as well.

Re: Cant't win, won't play
Sorry I should have been more clear. My response was to toadwart and not to fallenkezef.
Everyone pug's. Even the premade player's pug from time to time. Maybe not all your premade members are online or your waiting to get into a ongoing group and you pug.
I play in premades a lot. If I pug, I expect hideous gaming conditions and for the sc to go horrible because you can't count on anyone working as a team. I keep my expectations low on purpose because I know how things work out in pug groups. If things go well, I am surprised. Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. If I get into a SC where there is a opposing premade smashing, and I'm puging, Oh well... I got my premade team coming on soon and we can fight that premade. I have options.
The issue I have is player's that purely Pug asking to have the game changed for them.
I personally think the solo que option is a bad option for player's because it breeds the wrong mentality. The mentality that the game should be changed for pug play and the game ends at that level. I also think the 6v6 que option is also a bad option for the game because this game isn't solely based on 6v6 play and also breeds the wrong mentality. SC's, which are 12 man plus, used to be part of the campaign back in the day and were very important and not just some meaningless side game. You used to be able to double que in AoR fairly regularly at one time.

Re: Cant't win, won't play
SCs are much fun than RVR even if we are hard farmed whole day. But's it's often because Order play like "crying babies", they give up before fight started, go afk or need even 10 minutes before they regroup. But sometimes we really have no cheance , so it's nothing weird.

Re: Cant't win, won't play
I feel your pain fallenkezef, on player's afking in SC's. I hate it also. This is also why I prefer running in premades so we have more control over the setting.
If it means anything while your leveling, try to find a group of player's to play with and get on comms and assist. I personally would prefer a player that's on comms and assisting even at a lower level/RR then playing with a pug 40 player with amazing gear refuses to get on comms and doesn't know how to assist. IT IS SO EASY!!!!

@op
this is RoR, you will win even you lose. what you really expect mate ? how this game be more easymode for casual players ? i really don't know.
-even you lose scenario you'll be rewarded by emblems.
-even you lose RvR you'll be rewarded by bags -even better than winners-
-you have a chance that q for pug scenario and get rewarded
-you can take zones with pug zerg, keep lord is easy peasy
-you can take zones even without taking keep, all you need is patience like 4 hour
-you can sit on a aoe cannon and get kills/medals ect
what do you expect mate ? just tell me, i wanna listen.
