i agree. wl's isn't that op compared to mara. i'd say that mara nerf is a good step up. also, arguments about 1v1 not acceptable, am i right ? balance talk starts at 6 man iirc.

about the whines about mara nerf : most of destro classes better than order anyways, you can live without TB below 60, trust me. secont option is : drop DC and take TB instead and get a SH or WE with you for heal debuffs.

Just tried the mara changes on my pure savagery build.

95 wounds debuff instead of 152 is ok I guess, for a 13 points ability.
Personally I don't play with Piercing Bite tactic (I use Scything Talon instead), but maybe TB should require Gift of Savagery and be affected by Piercing Bite don't you think?

The reduced CD of Draining Swipe is welcome too. Pure savagery rotation is a lot smoother now.

WL's in 1v1 are free rp for a marauder if you have correct spec/gear/renown/tactic set. also, 1v1 isn't way to discuss about balance.

about group play: shittons of stuff to counter WL on the field. lemme tell you the easiest one. kill the pet all the time. if WL not specced for revenge, you can laugh WL's damage.

I agree with you Hao, though it was me who made the zealot comment and killing the wl pet on a healer on demand is harder than it seems.

Pre detaunting them saves my ass but detaunt is not always off cooldown, their mobility makes them hard to cc away and honestly if i'm unguarded most of the better WL can drop me in one kd with very little counterplay from me personally.

Though there are no WL changes in the patch notes so we should probably just drop it.

- Marauder Changes

Ability - Thunderous Blow - Now sits at 13 points in the Savagery Tree, wounds debuff value reduced.
Ability - Draining Swipe - Now sits at 5 points in the Savagery Tree, cooldown reduced to 10s (from 20), debuff reduced to 5s (from 10) so it maintains a 50% uptime but will fit better into an attack chain.
Tactic - Hulking Brute - Additionally adds Initiative as well as toughness for a maximum of 320 stat points as per the other 3 point tree tactics Scything Talons and Corrupted Edge.


Nice buff on Mara :shock: Wounds debuff reduced is good news but 13 points in Tree it's expensive, Thunderous Blow can back 5s cd ? TB is decent filler if you play full Savagery.

I'm not sure about it, where is mara nerf ? Hulking Brute buff good news for WB play no ? Thunderous Blow don't require mutation>>no synergise with Piercing Bite and BG have better wound debuff and we gain Draining Swipe. Mara Sava/Bruta is always OP

Yea, not seeing much of a nerf here besides a slightly lower value of TB, which I'd say is off set by roughly 8 talismans worth of Ini for Monstro.

If you have a BG with you yeah, TB is useless.
About the "Hulking Brute" buff, it's awesome.

agree with Hao, not much of a nerf at all in the right hands, may even promote more BGs in group - who knows.

any healer dying to a WL 1v1 on equal footing isn't playing/spec'd accordingly. WL is a better pug killer, marauder is the better premade killer.
