RDPS SH vs Sorc

Hello!

I've asked a few of people in-game and have tried to search as much as possible on the forums but I thought I'd make a topic to nip this in the bud once and for all and hoping I can get some help and advice.

I am pretty dead-set on doing some kind of RDPS for T4 but am hopelessly stuck trying to choose between an SH and Sorc. From what I can gather:

SH is great at DPS but only with gear. It is also very reliant on the pet which can be annoying at times. They don't have as much DPS as a Sorc but are better at soloing and kiting. SH also seems to bring more utility in a group setting.

The Sorc can be super bursty but has zero escape. Without a group you're not going to be able to do anything. However they can't really be touched in terms of single-target DPS but good luck if you don't have guard and/or a pocket healer.

Do these statements all sound pretty accurate? What is needed more on destro side?

Thank you in advance!

Yes, those are pretty accurate. Most sorcs are arguing that SH is in a better place than sorcs atm (kite ability, group utility, damage to a degree). No word from SHs on this new development yet as some say their hyperspeed is still proccing to this day.

From my poiny of view playing a Slayer. I am always happy to see a Sorc but I hate SH with a rage inducing passion.

SH > Sorc vs. Light Armor
SH = Sorc vs. Medium Armor
Sorc > SH vs. Heavy Armor

SH > Sorc for Mobility
Sorc > SH for Burst
Sorc > SH for AoE
I can simply lock this thread and you guys will just have to deal with whatever ends up being implemented.

SH if you play solo or in a grp

Sorc if you only play in a grp, solo sorc feels awful tbt

When the Squig is roleplaying and on shrooms

otherwise lol no

physical > magical
Physical AoE dmg from SH faces dodge check. Magical dmg from Sorc faces disrupt check.
Tanks have decent dodge rate. But both tanks and healers have decent disrupt rates. Effectively 16/24 of enemy WB is having good chance of just ignoring whatever Sorcs spam at them (trust me, you have to spam shaiteloads of anything to get something to stick and through the disrupt checks)

This sums it up for me. I think that Sorcs have better AoE potential now that the devs removed SH T2 moral.

Something new for me...
When does it changed and can you reveal it's more, please?
I mean: current ROR mechanic about SH's AOE. That Gas Squig damage (that always was ~zero at live game), that is even bigger than Sorc's AOE at 100%?
I want to learn more about this.
