First off, I know this is a team game based around organised mass warfare.
Thing is a great many people end up solo for a while before they learn the ropes and get into a guild for end game. Also a great many players, myself included, are casual playing a few hours per day inbetween real life commitments.
So all that being said, what are the best classes/specs for going solo? Let's create a resource for the casual solos till they find thier feet or get the free time to "go pro".

Why, tell me a classes that is not good solo ?peterthepan3 wrote:really not the caseSpierron wrote:ALL classes are good for solo so play what you prefer .
Re: Going solo
Sorc/Bw feels a chore solo, not that they are ineffective but now you can't just kite champs they are definitely more of a pain as you have to take damage to aoe grind and they have a lot of downtime compared to say mara which can just constantly aoe pull 8 mobs at a time with the monstro self healing and a parry build.

Re: Going solo
How to know if a class is good for soloing:
It either has self heal and can outheal opponent to victory while doing decent dmg (DoK, WP)
It can do rdps can kite enemy to death from distance (SW, SH, shaman, AM, to some extent Engi, Magus)
It can outtank and outsurvive the enemy, pretty much any tank career
It can do enough dmg fast in close range to complete a quick gank (WH, WE, WL)
It can somehow win in a duel because of superior melee performance (WL, Mara)
Classes like RP/Zealot can do rdps and selfheal good enough, though they most likely more challenging when it comes to soloing. Choppa and Slayer are somewhat glasscannonish meaning they're hard to pull off when soloing.

Re: Going solo
Aye. Slayer has some downtime between killing. Whereas as Aurandi said classes with self heal can pretty much negate downtime through self heal or generating ap for yeself.
