To be honest, I don't think we will need so much testing. Lets be realistic, we all know what's going to happen. Look at the amount of people that were online today, it was insane. Now imagine a smaller zone, but with even more people, since everyone that's 16+ will be able to play. That will be an absolute lag fest for everyone. In some zones like empire t3 you won't be able to move an inch without encountering a full wb.

Gives us more zones to play in, with more of our characters, with more players in the zone to fight.

Sounds the opposite of PVDoor zones, also more new players at lower level will help a little to reduce one sided zerg perhaps, like it a lot, certainly worth a try!

Sure there will be some testing and tweaking :D

Do we know if the lag on huge fights is worse for those further from France, or if it's similar and more a server/game processing restriction?

Thanks as always for your personal time and effort to make a lot of people have fun in this great game.

Essentially this. I think we already know, but I won't take anything away from the team's efforts to improve the system, and will be happy to take part and give feedback there and then.

Good luck!

Insane? We used have 1300 online in t3 hay days... Obviously not all in T3. But we've seen this before.

The numbers are the same as they used to be if not lower, when T3 were The max level zones and 28-35lvl cap.
Again, you weren't there and just wrong on this issue. Tbh, smaller zones worked better in regards to RvR, you don't get that 5min downtime from going from one bo in TM to another, unless we somehow reach 400'ish+ active non-mailbox guarding players in the actual RvR zone.

The bigger zones are designed for more than 1 warband of players. The only reason for long downtimes are zergs.

Defending keep gates with a zerg is overkill, the large doorway between both t2 elf zones is more appropriate in scale for mass fights. :D

That is why we test... Devs have already shown that they will alter a zone and input skaven tunnels if needed.... test it, and post ways to improve the gameplay.

Personally, I'm more interested in how the Bolstering will look. Currently it's super easy to cap main stat, armor, resistances and stack rest into toughness/wounds at the lower levels of a tier(remember Cap is based on your lvl, and armor/resistances is a %debuff)

That could provide some really fun times while leveling up... latency, number of open zones, and specific issues with specific areas can be dealt with as each problem rears its head. I'll have a lowbie to test it all out with come Friday.

Edit: also, the player cap was increased with the addition of T4. The server didn't physically allow 1300 people on during T3 or previous... also, the server works a millions times better than it did during T3. The comparison isn't even close.

28 pages and no one, that I read, has pointed out the obvious or asked the obvious selfish question about medallions or Renown off of lvl 16 bolster players. Will it even be worth killing them?

As such, from this point on, This thread is forced into Dog Emote Mode. All replies from this post forward must use dog images as an expression of their thoughts on this "temporary" change.

I will start>

It's a free alt out of the lower tier hellscape event. Or at least that's how I'm treating it. Game is hella boring in lower tiers if you don't have a group of friends to play with in voice comms. It's dead, people are brainless, and you have barely any skills or gear to play with. And it's dead d e a d compared to t4.

And powerleveling @1,000,000+ xp/h doesnt exist anymore.

If not for this event to help me get my bg into t4 I'd just quit playing till patcher is out.
