Yes.

The idea is that you get your set bonus of dominator or conqueror without these slots (helm/shoulder) items and combine them.

Also gives you the opportunity to grind them in rvr parallel.

But in the past it was very hard to get enough green ones. As the green ones drop in t2/t3. And there is a 50/50/50 kill quest to get green ones like the old kill quest in Troll Country when there was only t2.

Wait Zanilos I don't understand you. You want people to start playing in t4 pretty much instantly, yet claim this event wont help with that in any way. I'm sure you realized by now that this event merges mid tier (2,3) with t4, which means that everyone from lvl 16 will basically be in t4, if you will. Now of course the gear gap and abilities will be huge, and I'm also interested to see how devs will work this one out. But this is one of the way to 'throw' people into higher tier action, since everyone will be forced to play in lower tiers before moving to t4.

Another thing I think you didn't understand, is that the event requires t2 and t3 maps to be locked before moving to t4. That means that these zones won't be empty and people won't abandon them like before, because they actually need to lock them for t4 zones to open. I believe this will be a breath of fresh air for the great majority of players, as the new (old) maps should give a great diversity of battlefields, not just your same old one map in 5 hours. I really hope the zone locks will be faster.

I'm gonna be very honnest about rewards.

At this stage of dev, rewards is the last thing i think about (tough we planed to replace the actual loot roll system and is in progress). I'm looking for an efficient mecanic, not a carrot.

I can understand thats disturbing for players, but what the point to give rewards if none enjoy the playground? To hide misery?

I'm a bit frustrated having to play a pet class in lower tier zones, where pet constantly despawns and goes on cooldown because most of the fighting usually revolves in-between two zones.
But I guess there wont be a fix any time soon, for pets at least to resemble rams and cannons that don't despawn(most of the time) when zoning from one rvr zone into another. :(

Only suggestion i have.

It works like t2>t3>t4
The only concern is everyone will just go emp t2, emp t3, then sit in emp t4 for hours.
Unless my understanding of system is wrong.
Maybe make it so you have to go back to t2,t3 for some reason. So everyone just doesnt push 1 pairing to t4 and sit there for endless hours. If say it gets pushed to t4 prag, there is some kind of lockout timer on t4 emp after prag capture, maybe 2hours? Then everyone would be forced to go to other pairings? Just idea, maybe it works like this and i am confused. :P :P

I think it is great you are including t2,t3 in this it should be very fun!

I think that's exactly how it works. Once you lock one pairing another one opens (while that one remains locked). But after 2 weeks it seems we will have 2 pairings open at a time.

mmm i think if rewards as zanillos said are such a problem i think it could be bandaind (pretty easy maybe? idk)by just make 3 loot system at time based on rank or renown rank.
so 12+,22+32+. If that is possible then t2-t3-t4 will became all the same as you always get the loost system as in the original tier. (just as bandaid to make ppl not worry about rewards; maybe not for 32+ as they can fight for overlods and imperator who know.

imo alredy map change from t4 is alredy good to make me pla,y t4 have some of the worst map in game, t2 and t3 some of the best open wide area. The only exeption in t4 are praag, etaine and cw
