So Im a big fan of 2H weapons. I like orcs. So I think the most natural choice for me in this game would be choppa or BO.
Im not interested in zerg warfare at all. Im onyl really interested in 1v1 / 1vx / and small scale pvp, like 6v6 or less. Scenarios are fun, but not my main concern comapred to the other things.
I guess I would consider a marauder or 2H chosen if they good enough but i mean.....Orks are just awesome. Any advice for me bromigos?
BO vs Choppa [2H]?

Re: BO vs Choppa [2H]?
2h Bo's aren't really made for 1v1/1vX for many reasons.
Your kit lacks a way to sustain yourself, because Da Toughest BO heal is garbage and the wounds buff is garbage compared to stat steal.
You lack a way to avoid damage, since BOs don't have any skill to increase their parry/disrupt/dodge (Less Stabbin' Me isn't enough, and also there's no space left for it in a dueling build)
You can't force your opponent to go on the defensive, most BO damage comes from T'ree hit combo, Skull Thumper and Loudmouth tactic, but in a duel your going to need more bursty and less sustain-y and your only source of burst damage is going to be Taunt-Down Ye go/Shut Yer Face, and that is nowhere near enough.
Your main source of damage is T'ree hit combo (as said above) and if you get knocked down during it, that's it. Your damage is gone, and so is your chance of winning.
BOs have a high ramp up time before dealing damage. You need to apply Skull thumper first, then get back to Da best Plan and do your sustain/burst rotation. Not enough time in a duel
If your opponent has a high parry build, you're dead no matter what you do due to not having any way to reduce their parry/increase your parry striketrough.
You're forced to make choices on your gear that will end up damaging you one way or another. Full parry build? you don't have nowhere near the damage to kill a target that has a good amount of armor. Damage oriented and you don't have enough defensive capability to sustain yourself in the duel.
2h BOs are "acceptable" in Scenarios. Stick to a target and keep pumping sustained damage while your team focuses one target down. Ofc you also guard, taunt and do all the tank stuff too, but that's going to be your main role

2h choppa is only really good in a party....but then again choppa is ever really only good if in a party...
2H BO is just a meme playstyle; it serves no purpose, you give up soo much by dropping SnB and get nothing in return that can't be done withou a dps SnB spec

Re: BO vs Choppa [2H]?
Ok after all the replies it seems BO is out.....lol. Not a lot of love for it. what about choppa vs marauder? Marauder had my interested as well. Not sure what skills to use on these toons either wasnt sure what the most effective playstyles are. Been playing both of them around level 10 now on each seem fun but not sure what is easier to play/be more effective on.TenTonHammer wrote:2h choppa is only really good in a party....but then again choppa is ever really only good if in a party...

Re: BO vs Choppa [2H]?
I dont know much about anything in this game maybe except 1v1 and 1vX. My 2 cents is, unless you are playing a WE, a SH or a shaman, no class is good unless you are very good at it.
Your best bet for solo 2H would be BG imo. It is very decent atm even if it's an ugly elf.
If you are set on choppa vs mara for solo, go mara. Its much easier.

Re: BO vs Choppa [2H]?
Yeah
Choppa needs a pocket guard, pocket healer and pocket armor debuff in order to "reach it's full potential", Mara while having the "higher skill cap", is not as reliant on grp support

Re: BO vs Choppa [2H]?
Definitely Choppa if you want a simple playstyle. BO's need to worry about switching Guard in-combat, challenge and taunt on appropriate targets, and most of their playstyle requires rotations of skills between each path in specific order to be effective.Drunkstains wrote:I guess my last question would be....who presses less buttons? Choppas just needs ta chop.

Re: BO vs Choppa [2H]?
Sorry didnt make that clear, meant between choppa and marauder, im just considering these two classes now. Also, just less buttons is all im truly worried about right now. I know marauder has to stance dance which is okay because its still same buttons for those skills but wasnt sure how many moves they actually had to use as far as each stance....and not sure which skills choppa should be choppin with. Dot seems meh......2H exhaustion move just takes away my rage which seems counterproductive if I want to stage in rage. Any advice on this? Thanks for all the answers!wargrimnir wrote:Definitely Choppa if you want a simple playstyle.
