I don't care about all the other changes, i could not care less, the only change i care about is the removal of BO npc's and supply running and making it so that you have to stand on a flag (just like scenarios where since August 2016 holding an objective and AVOIDING fighting has been the possible way to win) to take it and then STAY there to KEEP it.

I cannot imagine a direction to take RvR in that is WORSE than that, i've hated (and avoided as much as i can) scenarios since you nerfed kill points and made it so that standing on an objective and AVOIDING fighting has been the possible way to win.

It's the main reason as to why i will not be playing any T1 RvR with any char anymore whilst that is the way things are in T1.

The boredom and frustation of that way of doing things is why i don't play scenarios or T1 RvR unless i have a good reason to.

I abandoned scenarios (something i used to look forward to, something i used to LOVE) since you changed them (and i specifically mean by nerfing kill points, i don't care and never cared about any other scenario changes) so fundamentally back in August 2016 and if RvR is going in the same direction then the only thing keeping me here is my desire to compose info topics.

But hey, #Alpha right?


From my own personal perspective THE one thing that i have been most concerned about since August 2016 and have been banned and censored for complaining about more times than i can remember at this point is about to consume and fundamentally change this entire game and leave me with nothing left to enjoy, i feel that despite my now well-practised silence on this issue i should at least give my opinion about this at least once before i go back to my painfully-learned indifference to this issue.




I love RoR, just as i loved AoR, and i am so grateful to the RoR staff for what they do but someone has to say this again at least once!

Please don't respond to this if you're not RoR staff, i only gave an opinion.
Stop begging for staff replies or you'll get one you do not want. This is happening despite your objections and you'll do well to remember that development is a direction that staff chooses, not players.

Actually I am wondering how long this event will last?

The hurricane is hitting us here pretty bad in Houston so I'm just wondering if I will be able to have enough time to log on at some point

Should be up for quite a while. RvR changes might be permanent if they work out well enough. Expect changes as needed for many weeks to come.

What will determine success or failure of the event in your eyes? Population change, feedback, staff impressions, or a mix of them?

You have all so many questions and doubts :). Fact is we have the same :p. As said, we will construct this page of RvR with you, step by step. We are just submitting you a path with some borders. We have probably forgotten some details, and we will enhance and deploy adjustment in time.

Our concern is to provide something interesting, motivating and a step in the right direction.

About lvl diff, well have heard this many times. "lowbies will explode". Here is my opinion. Actually "lowbies" are dying of boredom in mid tier at low pop time. On the Holy Official server, i remember i was playing with my lvl 19 character in Eataine using the apprentice system (bolstering system), and ofc, i was dying quite often :). But -and it is my opinion again- I prefer to die like a **** 100 times during a campain with my guildmates than be alone stucked in a tier, running empty keeps with 3 lads, or pling my char to join T4 completely naked.

Moving population in lower tiers is interesting cause it will change rythm and intensity (pop vs map size) and maybe -it depends on you tbh- will see some epic battles.
