Yes, Dok/WP were overperforming in their .ab ex specs and it definitely needed to be reverted/removed until further changes were made. But the group cleanse/AoE detaunt changes weren't reverted, which affected their survivability. Add to that the fact that Essence regen is nowhere close to what it was on live because gear (which means even "backline healers" have to constantly use Blood Offering/Essence Lash).
Back then I advocated buffing the "underperforming classes" instead of nerfing the "overperforming ones" (except for Group cleanse tactic, which proved to be the main issue affecting several other classes/specs viability). Things like increasing the resist value from Shamans/Zealots while lowering the value from Chosen/KotBS for example. I still think this is the way to go: fix the overperforming skills from Shaman/AM (if they have any) without killing the classes, and fix one or 2 things about Dok/WP (most people seem to agree Zealot/RP are in the right spot healers should be). I know devs have plans for melee healing once client control is here but that might take a while, right?
TL;DR: Don't nerf overperforming classes (except for one or 2 broken skills). Buff underperforming classes instead.
You are so right! Dok/wp is so bad imo. I have wp, but I gave up. No aoe detaunt at all destroys it completely. Cleanse nerf... with the amount of rdps in this game.... Class Should be reverted completely, and once they have client control, go nuts. I really hope torq would revert it until CC.
