No one can ever messure "Rr returns". Personally I rely on k/d/dmg sc stats, enemy addon stats in active zone fightings, and you know what, I've never seen Rioz or any other am there) that selfsustaining rdps class has no escape, no instant nuke, lack of cc, he has to spend 4 gcd to start doing some decent but still ignorable dps, all the enemies you meet can just turn around and flee away from you, and if you meet 2 enemies with half a brain, you will most likely die first. That is the sad true about dps am/shamy, that is why rioz running defftarded duel specced nerd since t2, and morfee roaming on a heal specced shammy. Ams/shammys are the kings of dueling, but it doesn't mean they can ever kill a lot or take any major roll in any battle as a dps class.Darosh wrote: So you are trying to say that a selfsustaining rdps class has worse RR returns in soloroam than your run of the mill mdps/rdps?

if you dont have any clue psssst
its far easy as shammy
well you can say what you want but aslong as you never played youreself dont talk about
high kill numbers as shammy are rly not hard to get and that means high renown numbers because you do it solo
i leveld from 47-66 in 5 days btw
but with nearly perma 180 % aao +
and it looks liek you have no clue about shammy ;D 3-7k nukes in 2 seconds possible
*edit* and iam not talking about how effektiv dps shammy is or how the impact on a fight is or something
only the possibility to solo roam so plz dont get me wrong there
and btw in my solo video is not ONE fight against 2 kotbs so stop lie
here my ONLY solo roam vid that ive ever set online

I never tried, I used to kill him in 7-10 seconds, not in 3 mins xd that is the main reason why shaman is not the best class for soloroam.try you to 1on1 em ?

Re: Solo class what to pick?
In the current single zone campaign I don't see mdps being particularly efficient in soloroam or zergsurf for that matter (assuming OP has no interest in grouping up at all), especially with the oversaturated dps market (on order at the very least) finding a group after the fact - if one doesn't have leeway in form of the class archetype - is a pretty nasty thing.Atropik wrote:No one can ever messure "Rr returns". Gotcha matey.
As to measuring RR gain and efficiency, I personally factor in pots (which arguably is more relevant for newer players, that don't have a working economy yet) and such:
Selfsustaining classes don't chug as many pots as others, hence the net RR is higher if you consider the time you spent farming stuff to maintain your economy, additionally depending on whether its rdps/mdps you'll generally have more or significantly less opportunity to gain RR to begin with in the current ORvR environment - you effectively (can) gain more RR for/in the time spent in total.
While of course picking fights properly remains your bread and butter, regardless of your class - it goes without saying that 1vX aren't a thing against people with a brain either way, yes.
Now, unrelated to the topic:
I don't mind that you take issue with what I am posting, however its getting tedious to bait out more than just oneliners from you; I do very much appreciate to get to see your take - and anyone else' for that matter - on things.
Abbd.: Forgot to mention that reliance on pots alone has a tendency to **** one over (by virtue of CD) if people add in after the fact, so theres another edge on selfsustaining classes.
E: Rearranged/added some words for readability.

Re: Solo class what to pick?
In terms of self-suffiency and ease to use, the DPS Shaman/AM trumps others. Does it kill as fast as others? No. But can you take on greater odds? More than likely.
A WELL-PLAYED DPS AM*** can take on 3+ noobs at the same time. While classes like IB/BG are as viable, the thing that separates AM/Shaman is that they have ranged on their side.
It's a no-brainer, really: if you want to kill things really quickly, make a WE/WH/WL; if you want an incredibly easy, self-sufficient ranged class, pick a DPS AM/Shaman; if you want to beat DPS AMs/Shamans, make an IB/BG.
Having said that, a well-played Magus can beat practically anybody too - but it's more of a dueling spec (the only thing that would give trouble back on live in 1v1 is Djolle/a defensive AM). That is the difference, and I think what Nicelook is talking about (dueling vs solo viability)
